Looking for Way to Mount Optronics Backup Light # BUL10CB on Ranger Trail Boat Trailer

Question:

Thanks for the great information. I have to figure out how to wire the lights to my trailer to synchronize with my Yukon and then I'll buy. Your information says it requires a three wire connector. I know one of the wires is a ground. What are the other two for?

In order to mount the Optronics Backup Light, # BUL10CB, on your Ranger Trail Boat Trailer, I recommend using the Rubber Grommet, # a70gb, and Trailer Light Mounting Bracket, # BK70BB.

A wiring harness, part # A49PB for a right angle plug and part # A45CB for a straight plug, will also be needed for the Optronics Backup Light, # BUL10CB.

I have included a few short videos for you to check out.

The Optronics Backup Light, # BUL10CB, actually requires a 2 wire connector. Our video for this light, at the 38 second mark, explains this in detail. Most trailers with a 5 pin flat connector use the 5th pin for the reverse light function which activates the reverse lockout feature on trailers with surge brakes. If this is correct for your trailer, you will need to splice into the wire for the 5th pin in order to wire the backup light.
