In order for you to have a lower trailer you will have to go with a 12-inch wheel and tire combo. A 13-inch tire will only yield a 1/10th inch drop. The wheel and tire I recommend is the Karrier radial # AM31215. It will have a ply rating of 10 and a 1,520 pound maximum load at 80 psi. If this capacity is high enough for the gross trailer weight, then you can use it. With this tire and wheel combo you will see nearly a 3-inch drop.

The reason I would go with a radial tire is it flexes more than a bias tire, giving it better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear.

I also recommend getting new lug nuts # 12CLN as they are slightly longer for the alloy wheels that come with the recommended tire and wheel combo. You will need 20 of them for 4 tire and wheel combos.

For any trailer tire, make sure it is filled to the maximum psi rating for best performance and long life.

I have included a FAQ and video review for you too.
