Gooseneck Hitch and Installation Kit to Tow a Horse Trailer with a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab

I need a hitch for my gooseneck horse trailer. I have a 1999 Dodge 2500 Quad cab short bed. What hitch would be the best one? There are so many to choose from that I dont want to get the wrong one.

For your 1999 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab, I'd recommend the B&W Turnover Ball gooseneck hitch, part # BWGNRK1394, which includes the 2-5/16 inch ball and the rails to mount the hitch to the truck frame.
This hitch has a 30,000 pound capacity so as long as your horse trailer, fully loaded and ready to tow, does not exceed that, this hitch can handle the weight. You will need to consult your owners manual for the towing specifications for your vehicle. I have included a link to the installation instructions as well as to an install video.
To install a trailer connector in the truck bed, you can use part # C56071.
