What Lighting Functions Does a Tow Ready 4-Way Vehicle Wiring Harness Provide
Question:
this just gives you the signal lights and backup lights on the tow trailer from the van, correct?

Expert Reply:
Trailer wiring harness # 118551 will provide the basic light functions: left and right turn signals, brake lights, and running lights (tail lights). It will not provide reverse lights which are not common on trailers in the US. If your trailer does have reverse lights then it likely has something other than a 4-Way flat connector. If you can tell me the type of trailer connector on the trailer and the specific year, make, and model of the vehicle I can make sure we get you the proper connector.
If the trailer does have a 4-Way flat connector then it is not set up for reverse lights.
