Recommendations for Sway Control on 35 foot Rockwood Windjammer Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 35foot Rockwood Windjammer V nosed travel trailer. Dry weight about 7100#. Currently using a Reese 1200# weight distribution hitch. Seems to work fine, but in high winds with 18 wheelers passing by, I do have a sway problem. Would you recommend the 26002 for this or a different model. Your thoughts on your product handling sway vs the Equalizer. Thank you.

As long as your current spring bars have the 'hook' in the end of them, you can certainly upgrade to the Reese Dual Cam # RP26002. The Dual-Cam is the most effective sway control on the market because it literally forces your trailer to stay inline with the tow vehicle unless you're making turns. When you make a turn, the trailer tongue the hook will unlock from the cam, allowing you to easily make the turn. Rather than resisting sway, the Dual-Cam system actively prevents it from occurring in the first place. Because you're simply adding a component to your existing system, it's also much more cost-effective than replacing the entire system, even a pretty nice but not as effective system like what Equal-i-zer offers.

I've linked you to install details and an install video.
