According to Thule and Yakima, all their trunk mounted bike racks are compatible with your 2014 Kia Forte 5 door hatchback.

If you have a 5-door hatchback, Thule offers the Passage, part # TH910XT. The rack isn't as easy to install or remove, and doesn't include locks, but it's a quality rack that would hold your bikes safely and securely.

A hitch mounted bike rack would be another option for you. If you decide to go with this route, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite # 24903 Class I trailer hitch which is a fit for your vehicle, according to Draw-Tite. Once the hitch is installed, it would provide a mounting point for a bike rack, allowing you to carry up to two bikes (the limited tongue weight capacity of a Class I hitch prohibits carrying more than two bikes.)

The Swagman Trailhead, part # S63360 is a reasonably priced rack with all the features I recommend in a bike rack. When the bikes are removed, the rack can be tilted rearward to allow your rear hatch to open. The anti-sway cradles offer sturdy rubber straps to hold your bikes securely and prevent them from swaying back and forth during travel. An anti-rattle hitch pin is included, but I'd recommend upgrading to the optional cable lock/anti-rattle locking hitch pin, part # S64031.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance.
