How to Make a 5-Way Female to Vehicle Side 4-Way Trailer Wiring Adapter
Question:
Hi, I am looking for a trailer end connector for braking lights etc that I am currently towing with my RV. My RV has a 5 pin male connector, and the trailer has a 4 pole flat. I am looking for a round 5 Pole female connector to a 4 pole flat. I dont see it in the product catalog. Any help ?

It sounds like you have a 5-way male connector on your RV like the part # PK11501 and are looking for a way to adapt it to your trailer's 4-way.
You will need to make an adapter for this as one isn't available. You will need the part # PK11502, # 16-4B-1 which is sold by the foot and then a 4-way part # 18172.
You will need to test the wires of the 5-way on your RV with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 for function and then wire up the 4-way flat as needed. The wire colors of the 4-way flat are:
White is ground
Brown is running lights
Green is right stop/turn
Yellow is left stop/turn
I attached an FAQ article on trailer wiring for you to check out as well.
