5-on-4-1/2-Bolt Pattern Hub for Use on Redline 2-1/4-Inch Spindle # TRU57FR

Question:

Looking for a 5x4 1/2 Hub assembly, but using spindle TRU57FR. I am building a fish house and would like to use these 5,000 lb spindles. I have 5x4.5 trailer rims already, so are there any 3500 lb hubs that would work?

Selection of a compatible hub for use on the Spindle # TRU57FR requires matching up the bearing set that fits this spindle (25580 inner bearing and LM67048 outer bearing) to the bearings in the hub.

We do offer a number of hub kits that use this same bearing set and all can be seen on the link at right. However, none of these has a 3500-lb capacity and none has the required 5-on-4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. All of these hubs use at least 6 lugs.

You may find it easier to select a complete axle kit that includes the axle beam, spindles, hubs, bearings etc. The link provided will take you to our main page for axle assemblies that include hubs with the 5-on-4-1/2 bolt pattern. For example, part # 35545I-EZ-89 from Dexter is a complete 3500-lb axle kit with idler hubs that works with wheel diameters from 13- to 17-1/2-inches. The two linked videos illustrate.

The advantage of using a prepared kit, apart from knowing you have all the correct parts, is that you will also know the axle's rating whereas fabricating your own axle will result in an unknown weight capacity.
