How To Wire Superwinch ATV Winch On 2000 Yamaha Wolverine 350
Question:
I have a lt2000 superwinch I am installing on my 2000 Yamaha Wolverine 350. It is already mounted but I am havibng trouble with what color wire in the 4 wire ignition switch to hook the red wire from the winch control into one that is only on when the key is turned on. Thanks.

Per the installation instructions for the Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch, part # 1120210, the red wire from the handlebar switch is to be connected to the wire on the ignition switch that only shows current when the ignition is in the on position. You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to be able to identify the correct wire.
Then route the 2 long Black and Red wires from the solenoid to the motor. Next, route the shorter Black wire to the battery, and route the shorter Red wire through the circuit breaker to the battery. Attach the Black and Green wire from the rocker switch to the Green and Black wire from the solenoid.
I have attached a drawing diagram that shows how the wires need to be routed when installing the winch you can check out.
