If your motor home, built on the Chevy Van chassis, came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector then it should have a tow package wire bundle up under the dash, to the left of the steering wheel, and held together with a white tag. Some models will have the connection wiring taped and tucked under the driver side floor mat up towards the firewall.

Pull down the wire bundle and look at the tag. It should have the wire functions listed to make attaching them to a brake controller easy.

It is also possible for vehicles with the 7-Way tow package to have the blue output brake wire already ran from the back to the front but none of the other wires. The blue wire is located under the dash near the emergency brake pedal. You would hardwire the rest of the controller using installation kit # 5506 and you can follow the relevant parts of the hardwire installation mentioned below.

On the P3 # 90195 the wire colors are white for ground, black for 12 volt power in, red for input from the brake switch, and blue for output to the trailer brakes.

If your vehicle did not come with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector the brake controller and a 7-Way will have to be hardwired in. If the vehicle does not have any type of trailer connector you would start by adding a 4-Way. Since you have a motor home the harnesses for the regular van models may not work.

If the vehicle has separate turn signal bulbs from the brake lights bulbs you would use hardwire installation kit # 119178KIT. If the turn signals and brake lights are on the same bulb use # 18252.

Then you would need # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation.
