  My contact at Thule said that there are no replacement lock assemblies for their cargo boxes; only the lock cores. He did say that you can either get a key extraction tool from your local hardware store and attempt to get the key out yourself. Another possible option would be to drill out the key. You can either try doing this yourself or you can get a locksmith to do it for you. Either way, once your key is removed it would probably be best to install the new lock core # THLOCKN077...

  Since you drilled the lock out you will need a new lock cylinder and key. I recommend a lock cylinder like part # THLOCKN077, and then you will need the key so you can order part # THKEYN077. Since the keys are sold individually you may want to order an extra to keep in a safe place just in case. The universal key is not needed since you drilled out the lock on your cargo box.

  The part # THLOCKN077 isn't the only lock core that can be use in your Thule Cascade cargo box but it would be an option just as easy as any other option. With it you'd just need the Thule key part # THKEYN077 and the change key # 853-1251 and you'd be set. You'd put the change key in the lock core and then insert the core into cargo box and once you remove the change key it would be installed.
