Today we're going to review part number P8770F. This is the Putco wireless remote control kit for the Putco Luminex LED light bars that are less than 60" long. Now this is a wireless remote control kit that will let you turn your Putco Luminex LED light bar on and off from outside of your vehicle at the press of a button. It has up to a 30-yard range. It does come with the two programmable key fobs. Comes with the radio frequency control module.

Has a 16-gauge wiring harness and a nice set of detailed instructions. Now this wiring harness right here will plug into your control module and then the three wires with the connectors on the other end will splice into the wiring harness that comes with your light bar. I'm going to show you in a minute how it connects. Now this remote kit will work with light bars that are less than 60" long. If you have a light bar that's longer than 60" it does require the heavy duty remote kit, which is part number P8770HF. We do sell that separately on our website. This part does come with a limited one-year warranty.

Basically I want to show you when you have the Putco Luminex LED light bar they will come with this universal wiring harness. On one end of the wire it comes with three separate wire connectors: a red, a blue, and a black. Basically what that's normally used for is you just attach the included illuminated switch, plugs into the tabs on the back here just like that. Then you have an on and off switch. What this remote kit will allow you to do is in place of that illuminated switch you can use the wireless remote. Basically what you would do is take your wiring harness that comes with the wireless remote, go ahead and plug it in.

Locks into your radio frequency control module. Then if you'll notice these wires have the male connectors, and it's red, blue, and black also. You'll just take your wiring harness, match up color to color. Put your red into the red. Take your blue, put it into the blue.

Then take your black and connect it to the black. Then you'll have it connected to your wiring harness for your light bar. What you do want to do is you can see t antenna right here. They got it coiled up. You do want to uncoil that and just stretch that out as far as you can. Then attach this. Keep this radio frequency module in a nice, dry environment. Might want to attach it to a nice, flat surface with double-face tape or some screws right here. Then what that will allow you to do, these key fobs do come pre-programmed from the factory so they just have two buttons: on and off. You can turn on your lights and turn them off up to 30 yards away. The instructions will instruct you if you'd have a problem with them being programmed. It will show you how to reprogram if you'd like.
