Today we're going to take a quick look at the Chicago Blackhawks two inch NHL trailer hitch receiver cover.Show your support for the Chicago hockey team, by having your nice Blackhawks logo here on your hitch. This is going to not only proclaim our love for the Blackhawks but also keep our hitch clear of any dirt or debris from building up in there and making it hard to put in an accessory whenever we want to. Whether that's a cargo carrier or a bike rack or anything else, this is going to keep that nice and clear and anything that can make that difficult to get it in there. Does have a little clip, to get that installed adjust springs between your two hitch pin holes. There's even a small hole on the one side so you can add a padlock to this if you want to. You will have to find one that has an eighth inch shackle bolt diameter, or you can remove this and then just use a traditional five-eighths diameter hitch pin and clip or locking hitch pin.Now hitch pin and clip, locking hitch pin, and that eighth inch shackle padlock those are all sold separately and you can find them here at etrailer.com if you want to pick any of those things up.Our hitch cover is made of a sturdy zinc coated metal so it's going to be pretty hardy, it's going to be able to stand up to the elements and stay looking nice for a long time.
Our logo is covered by an epoxy material and it's our base is made of an abs plastic. Measures about six inches across, and then about three and a half inches tall. This works with a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. And this is an officially licensed logo. That's going to do it for our look at the Chicago Blackhawks two inch NHL trailer hitch receiver cover..

Husband loved his new Blackhawk hitch cover for his truck. Have not seen this one any place else.
Looks great on my Jeep. Silver back plate is sturdier than other plastic hitches I have purchased which didn't even last a year and snapped in half in a car wash.

Just an update on my earlier review from March of 2013. Still have the same hitch cover and just went to transfer it to our new JEEP. Even after this rough Chicago winter it has gone thru it was as good and shiny after a few wipes with a rag as the day I purchased it! Sorry that some others had issues with their emblems falling off but perhaps it was just a defective piece because mine is still proudly displaying my BlackHawks and with the winter we have had, I am constantly running my car thru a car wash!
This produce was exactly as described on the site. What impressed me more than the actual product was the customer service provided by etrailer. Because the item I wanted was not in stock, a representative from etrailer emailed me immediately with alternative options. The representative also gave me a personal confirmation that she would do everything in her power to make sure I got my hitch on time. I have never received such wonderful customer service from an online order and I am so grateful!
Would have liked the entire product to be metal, not plastic. When locked in place on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, the cover was not snug or tight in the hitch receiver. The hitch cover was not flush to hitch receiver.
I still enjoy the product. Fast service and delivery. Thank You!

Very cheap product - Blackhawk logo came off same day we installed it. Problem is, it came off sometime as we were driving somewhere.
I would not recommend this product.

Update...etrailer support shipped us a replacement and guess what...the logo plate fell off again!!! Dont bother with this one.
The Blackhawks emblem fell off within a week! I picked up a friend to go somewhere 5 miles away, and he noticed it when he put stuff in the back. Then when we arrived it was gone, so i know no one pilfered it.
Per the other 'not so good' feedback, I checked to make sure that it DID have excellent adhesive coverage upon the Hawks placement when it arrived. Thankfully it was wonderfully attached and it *hopefully* will remain to be the same throughout its continuation of the season from now (end of Sept) hereon!
Product got delivered with center piece (hawk sticker) not sticking to hitch. Had to apply adhesive myself to secure it.
This is a quality product for a good price. There were two types to choose from and this one said it was metal (Zinc I think) and the other was plastic. I did expect it to be heavy duty, but this one's sleeve is made of plastic and the end piece is zinc. Not enough problem to make this a 4 star product, but the description should say so.

Great looking product, the face is metal but the receiver part is plastic. Wishing the whole product was metal...
Looks good just like the picture it seems like a quality piece made in USA
Was exactly as advertised. Now have to wait and see how durable it is over the winter.

Hitch cover has been working out great Ive had no problems at all with mine... Sorry to hear about the other logos coming off. Mine has been working great and looks as good as it did the day I put it on
