Classic Accessories RV Tire and Wheel Covers

Worried about the tires on your fifth wheel dry rotting in the intense desert sun during a long camping trip? Or perhaps you're storing a boat trailer in the northeast, and you're concerned about your wheels rusting after a series of snowstorms? These water-resistant, vinyl covers protect the tire-and-wheel assemblies from dust, dirt, and the elements while your RV, camper, or trailer is parked or stored for an extended period of time. By keeping your tires covered, it'll prevent the sidewall from prematurely cracking and causing a blowout on the highway. This will extend the life of your tires, so you won't have to unexpectedly budget in a costly tire replacement.

Securing the Covers onto Your Tire-and-Wheel Assemblies

These covers are quick and easy to install. If you have larger tire-and-wheel assemblies, it's recommended to lay the covers in the sun for a few minutes. This will let the material expand slightly, so it'll fit over your tires more easily. Once the covers are in place on your tires, the soft interior lining won't damage your wheels' paint job.

So far so good. Fit is perfect for my 20.5 tires. Arizona sun is rough on tires, so time will tell on the life of the material. construction is good, and they stay on in the wind.

by:

Thus far these covers have done exceptionally well. I'm very pleased that the sun has not baked my trailer tires. These are well worth the price.

A Year later, and the wheel covers are doing better than expected. Generally todays materials are made in China, with questionable quality applied to the manufacturing process. Where ever these wheel covers were made, they have been made with excellent material that has withstood the brutal southwest sun, and doing a stellar job of protecting my wheels. Given its been a year now, and the wheel covers are in great condition...well worth the price.

Great wheel covering product. Trailer sits on a lot in N. Texas. Always exposed to the elements. After one year still looks new. Highly recommend these covers.

by:

The scissor jacks worked perfect!
The
spire tire cover was a little tight, maybe because of the cold weather
The wheel covers do the job!!

by:

I purchased this tire cover set to protect a set of new 205/65-10 tire/ wheel combo. The fit is perfect.

by:

Still protecting the tires from the UV of the sun.

by:

Just the size I was looking for small tired pontoon trailer.

by:

A year in the sun hasn't destroyed this product.

Trailer wheel covers are still in great shape after another year of TX weather. The pair I purchased one year earlier are also in good condition.

by:

Fit well. Outside vinyl has held up well. The inner unwoven material is attractive to mice and is missing several patches though it doesn't affect performance.

by:

Good craftsmanship. I look forward to seeing how well they last.

by:

Great product

by:

Product is exactly as described and excellent quality.

does the job quite well

by:

Plus-Minus on these wheel covers. While the material and workmanship appear solid, there are NO STRAPS or any way to secure them once in place. Short of using a bungee cord or something, these are somewhat pricey for having to use something else to secure them. First big wind and they were gone...

by:

Bought four of them for my T.T. I don't think you could make it any easier to put covers on, Took less than five minutes to put all four on and it's a secure fit. I saw one posting about putting gourmets on ends and bungee for a tighter fit (excellent suggestion). My only advice would be to get the right size.

by:

Just opened the package and put the covers on the trailer tires for the first time. Covers are well made and fit the tires well. Anxious to see how well they stay on when it gets windy.

by:

Last pair of tires suffered from dry rot and one disintegrated on the expressway when hauling our horses, so we got these covers to prevent tire damage from UV. These covers fit perfectly, are easy to place and remove, look great, and so far the tires have no cracking from UV damage. I would highly recommend these if your trailer is parked outside. Got the tire covers for the mounted wheels as well as a cover for the spare.

by:

I like the tire covers they were easy to put on. I added the cord around them to keep them in place because of the wind in my area. Only thing I might add is that they would be perfect if they had grommets at the bottom for a bungee cord to keep them in place in a windy area.

  • Tire Cover Recommendation for Trailer Tire Size 4.80-12
A 4.80x12 tire is going to have an overall diameter of 20.5". S for a set of wheel covers that will work well for you I recommend the Classic Accessories RV Wheel Covers part # CA80098 for gray or part # 052963762204 for white. Both of these wheel covers fit tires with an overall diameter from 18"-21" so they will fit your 4.80x12 trailer tires. While these aren't spring loaded they do have elastic built into the cover which will hold it securely to the tire and wheel.

  • Recommended Wheel Covers for 33x12.50R15 Jeep Tires
I recommend the SnapRing TireSavers Tire Covers, # ST7003BK for 33" to 35" diameter tires. This is black vinyl and comes in a quantity of 2 ea. Install by simply sliding the cover over the tire and letting the ring snap together.

  • Can Tire Size Be Increased from 14-Inch to 15-Inch on 2003 Coleman Utah Pop-Up Camper
You certainly can move to a larger size trailer tire as long as you have enough room in the wheel wells. You might want to contact the camper manufacturer with its VIN to confirm they have no concerns about a larger diameter tire. Based on my review of photos of your Utah you may have a tight fit with a larger tire. You also can potentially select a higher load range tire in your current size. This would mean less heat build-up since the tire would be operated below its maximum capacity....

  • Can Boat Trailer with 4.80-12 Bias Ply Tires Be Converted to Radial Tires
Yes, as long as the size of the wheels is compatible with the specific tire size you want to use there is no issue at all moving from bias ply tires to radial tires on your boat trailer. You just never want to mix tire types or sizes; all, including the spare, should be of the same construction and size. The Kenda 4.80-12 tire and wheel you referenced, part # AM30620, is a bias ply type tire but we do have this tire size available in radial construction too. The linked page displays all...

  • Spare Tire Cover for 18.5x8 Spare Tire on a Triton Boat Trailer
The diameter of your spare tire is likely to be near 18-1/2 inches. We have some tire covers (not spare tire covers) that will fit 18-21 inch tire diameters that would be the best bet. They also come only in pairs. For white we have # 052963762204 and for gray we have # CA80098. The smallest spare tire covers we have are for 21 inch diameter tires such as # CE27410. It would be a loose fit but for spare tire covers it would be the best option.

  • Which 4.80 X 8 Size Tires Can Be Used On A Minuteman Trailer To Maximize Tire Tread Life
The 4.80x8 tire size has a overall diameter of 16.1 inches and a section width of 4.6 inches. I would not recommend going to the 5.70x8 size or the 215/60-8 size, because you would be increasing the overall diameter to 18.1 inches, which is 2 inches taller. When you go to a taller tire you are making the trailer taller and that will increase the chance of more sway, as well as possibly causing clearance issues. I would recommend going with the Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Trailer Tire with...

  • How to Determine Correct Wheel Covers for RV Tires
If you want to know if a particular spare tire cover will fit your RV tires, there is an easy way to find out. Simply read the numbers off the sidewall of your current RV tire. This number will tell you the section width, the sidewall aspect ratio and the diameter of the wheel. Once you have these numbers we will be able to assist you in choosing the right tire covers for your RV. I have...
