Sailcloth Replace-A-Top will only mount over your vehicle's factory-original bow support hardware as pictured above.
The sailcloth is then held in place by attaching it to the existing Belt-Rail channel mount system. An easy, yet secure system designed for quick installation and removal of your soft top.
Bestop Sailcloth Replace-A-Top soft tops use a three-ply fabric to reduce road noise up to 50 percent more than vinyl denim tops, enhancing vehicle insulation for a superior all-around ride. An outside vinyl layer protects against weather, the center vinyl layer reduces exterior noise and improves interior insulation, and an inside poly-cotton substrate layer stabilizes the fabric.
Top is constructed from industrial-strength fabric and has sealed seams for a lasting product. Sailcloth fabric maintains shape in all weather conditions and avoids temperature-induced shrinkage to make cold-weather installation trouble free. The top also resists waves and wrinkling more than conventional tops and is easy to clean. Reinforcements ensure a snug fit at rear corners to reduce wind noise.
Heavy-duty YKK zippers make removal and installation of heat-sealed, DOT-approved windows easy. Optional 31 percent tinted windows available for most models.
Sailcloth Replace-A-Top is covered by a limited two-year warranty. Kit includes sailcloth fabric and tinted windows only and is designed to fit over vehicle's factory-original Belt-Rail channel mount system.

This product was everything we could hope it would be. Not being particularly young or strong we solicited help putting it on. It tightened in the sun and looks as good and fits as tightly as the factory installed top. We are exceedingly satisfied with our purchase.

Everything fit great, the door skins are a pain to put on. Thankful my wife has Krout making hands, get a shoe horn! for real. The instructions say the imperfections will settle out, we will see. I do have a weird dimple in top above passenger door and the door skin on same side doesn’t sit right. See pictures, I tucked weather proofing in and will see if it conforms. All in all way better than my old top. Still trying to figure out rebate.

A terrific replacement top for my '97 Wrangler TJ. I put it on (single handedly) in the garage and temp was 55 degrees. It fit fine and is nice and snug. I am so glad I ordered the 28 oz sail cloth. I wish I had it as the factory top years ago. Top notch service AND pricing from etrailer. I received sameday personal notes answering my questions and delivery status. Thanks. Can't wait for ext TJ project.

We have had this top for one year and it really is the best top out there. We have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler. The quality of this top is absolutely top notch. We have not had one issue and it is so easy to take up and down and to take completely off and put back on the Jeep. Thank you for a product well made. We will definitely order through Etrailer.com again in the future.

- Installing a Sailcloth Replace-a-top on a 2008 Jeep WranglerYou are basically doing a reverse of step 7 in the instructions, linked for reference, to install the new top. And after that it is pretty much reversing steps 1 through 6 (removing the old top). Sometimes the new top will not easily stay in place to screw it down. It helps to have an extra set of hands to hold it in place so you can wedge it in properly to screw it down and secure it.
