Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the tailor-made mooring collar. This is designed to protect your mooring buoy by preventing the anchor chain from scraping against the neck of the buoy as it's bobbing up and down on the water. This is going to prolong the life of your buoy by limiting that wear on the buoy's neck, and it's not going to damage your buoy's anchor chain or your shackle.This is compatible with both the 12" and 15" diameter tailor-made T3 sea buoys. You can see it's got a nice, wide collar that's going to fit most of your standard shackles. As far as installing it, it's going to be very simple.

Just slip this into the top of your buoy's 2" diameter center tube, run your anchor chain up, and then attach your shackle and you're ready to go. This is constructed of a hot dipped galvanized steel, so it's going to be very sturdy and corrosion resistant. It's going to do a good job holding up in protecting our mooring buoy. That's going to complete our look at the tailor-made mooring collar.
