Snowplow Installation
Front or rear mount? Versatility is the SnowSport LT's middle name.
Installation is quick and simple - just slide the included shank assembly into your 2" hitch receiver and secure with pin.
Once the plow frame is connected, attach the blade by lifting one end at a time onto the frame's holders. The lightweight aluminum blade construction makes lifting or adjusting an easy, one-person job. Secure the blade in either the transport or plowing position with the plow's snap pins. The low-profile design won't block your headlights, and the transport position is secure enough for highway travel.
If using with a rear-mount receiver, simply lower the blade to plow position and back up as usual. For a front-mounted plow blade, just drive forward with the blade in the plow position. The unique design takes the hassle out of plowing: This device has no hydraulics or complicated wiring. The push frame on the shank assembly allows the blade to move along the grade of the terrain for easier, more efficient plowing. The heavy-duty rubber cutting edge is effective yet turf friendly, collecting snow and squeegeeing slush without digging into the ground.
When you are ready to reverse your driving direction, the blade lies back, skimming over the surface of the ground until you change direction again to plow.
Handy blade markers extend vertically from the ends of the plow to help you see where you are plowing.
With the SnowSport LT, plowing snow is as easy as backing out of your driveway. Once you are finished plowing, simply lift the blade, refasten it in the transport position and head off for work or errands.

Today on our 1998 Chevy Blazer, we'll be installing the Curt front mounted hitch, part number 31021. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed, next we'll give you a couple measurements to assist your selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hold to the outermost edge of the front bumper, is 5 1/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground, is 11 1/2 inches. This will assist your selecting accessories such as a ball mount, cargo carrier, or snow plow. Now we'll go ahead and show you how to install the hitch. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove some of the manufacture fasteners on both frame rails.
Starting on the driver's side, we're going to go ahead and remove the 4 fasteners. Keep in mind each process we do here on the driver's side, will get repeated identically on the passenger's side. Noting these 2 outside bolts also secure the tow hook, so when we thread back through these frame attachment points, we'll make sure we're going into the tow hook. Our rock guard only needs to come down enough that we can get the hitch between the rock guard and the frame. Now with the driver's side done, I'll move over to the passenger's side and repeat the same process.
Before I attempt to install the new hardware, just to make it a little easier, we're going to spray each one of the attachment points with some spray lubricant. To attach the hitch, we're going to use the new 3/8 bolt and conkle tooth washer. The conkle tooth washer will go through the hitch into the frame with the teeth of the washer facing the hitch. Note on the 4 attachment points, where we'll also be re-securing the splash guard or rock guard, we're going to add the flat washer that we removed with the manufacturer's hardware. Now we're ready to put our hitch into position. You may need an extra set of hands to help you lift the hitch in place while we install the hardware.
Now as we install the fasteners, we'll install each one finger tight until we have them all in place. With all our fasteners installed finger tight, we'll go ahead and run them down. Next we'll torque to specification as indicated in the instructions. With our hitch secured and torqued to specification we're ready to hit the road. That does it for the install of the Curt front mounted hitch, part number 31021 on our 1998 Chevy Blazer. .

Shipping was quick.
Only issue I had: product was not listed as fitting a two door Jimmy/Blazer. Contacted e-trailer and they said it would not work. Called Curts and they confirmed that it WOULD work. Also, since I have both a 2 and 4 door, I could not find any differences in the vehicles. Other than that, it was a fine transaction.
This is the 5th trailer hitch that I have ordered from etrailer.com. They have all worked great. On Monday I called and spoke with Amanda about a front hitch for my S10. I received it Tuesday afternoon. I had it installed within about 30 minutes, though I could have done it in about 10 using an impact driver. It went on perfectly and works great. It is a strange thing to "back" my trailer up with it in front of me. I am not sure how it would work with a very large or enclosed trailer (mine is not.) It works great and looks beautiful on the front of my truck. Thanks again etrailer for a great hitch.
Very solid construction. Package arrived very quickly and installation went smoothly after watching the video on the web site.
As usual the Curt Hitch Company hits a homerun.
I have used or installed many Curt Hitches both for my personal use and recommended use for friends use.
They are in my opinion are top of the line Hitches. Well made with clean welds and an excellent powder coating finish.
Strong and reliable construction with a perfect fit and unlike many other brands they are an AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT.
Great Value you can not go wrong buying a Curt Hitch.
I was a little surprised with the snow plow. I thought it was going to be hydraulic/electric. It does okay, going on flat and slight declines. Inclines not so good. I also. Bought a rear trailer hitch. Very pleased with it.
I bought the same front hitch from [online]. Tried to install it and was off by 1/4 inch. Had to send it back. Same day I bought the hitch from etrailer. They mailed it to me the same day and it arrived one day early. I just installed it with no problems. Fits perfectly.
I received my front receiver hitch and was happy that it was packaged well without being over-packaged. It arrived sooner than expected which was nice and had no scratches or dings from shipping. I bought this for a custom application I'm planning and the price was under what I had anticipated I'd be spending. The whole process was very pleasant.
Easy to order, informative video, able to view shipping, packed well ( included written instructions were too general but used the video as a better source on instructions ), easy installation within unpacking, searching for my tools, rolling on the garage floor ( no need to jack up front of vechile ), and testing new front hitch in forty-five minutes. Thank you !
