What's interesting about the Stealth hitch part # SH27VR is that the hitch opening that comes with it is actually intended for carrying racks like bike racks and cargo carriers and not for towing. This is why it does not come with safety chain loops. Since this is a leased vehicle and trimming would be required of some of the underbody paneling, adding a hitch for a rack likely isn't the best solution. Additionally, going with a roof rack, you may find that your investment is "dead" if you switch to a vehicle that you can't transfer the rack to, so I feel like for this situation the most cost effective and practical solution is going to be going with a trunk mounted rack since they'll traditionally fit a much wider variety of vehicles.
