If a lock has corrosion and will not allow you to turn the inserted key you can try applying a spray solvent like WD40 or PB Blaster inside the key opening. This may be able to dissolve enough of the corrosion to allow the key to turn and open the lock. At that point you can apply more of the solvent to finish removing the corrosive build-up inside it.

Thule unfortunately doesn't offer the cylinder or sleeve the lock core sits in as a replacement part. If the cylinder hasn't been damaged, there's a chance a locksmith could carefully drill the lock core out, because if that cylinder is damaged, there's not much that can be done other than using a couple of padlocks, hasps # H135-203E and # H115-204E staples to secure the box. The top portion of your latch should be on the outside of your shell and not the inside. It looks like the parts were likely dismantled for cleaning or painting and were reinstalled incorrectly.

In general unhitching your 5th wheel trailer will be easiest when the truck and trailer are on level ground and with the hitch's slide bar and jaw well lubricated. You'll also want to be sure that if you have a padlock on the slide bar for securing your trailer that you unlock and remove this first.
