It sounds like the motor itself is bad however to be certain I recommend testing the motor first to see if you're getting enough power.
You'll want to run a power and a ground from a 12V battery to the yellow and red wires coming off of your motor and check to see if the motor engages.

The most common fix for a wiring harness that works fine on some functions but not others is to re-position the ground wire. A weak ground can cause lots of odd behavior, including some functions working while others do not.

First check to make sure the light is grounded properly. That is typically what causes a trailer light to stop working. Especially when the light is an LED that doesn't normally burn out.
The light # C7493RTM that you referenced has a sealed lens that does not allow you to get into it. Plus the LED light inside it is not like a standard bulb that is easily replaced.
Try improving the ground first. That will most likely fix the problem.
