  • Troubleshooting Wiring For 6-Way Connector On RV
  • We do not have a wiring diagram per se for a particular plug, but I am attaching a diagram of two "standard" plug configurations. The key is to make sure to connect function to function which may or may not be the same color. You can use a circuit tester like Item # PTW2993 to test and match the functions on the 6-Way connection. If still having challenges, check the connectors for any damage, debris, or corrosion. Next, make sure grounds firmly connected to clean, metal surface....

  • Replacing A Rola Sport Roof Rack On My 2011 Hyundai Elantra

  • Exhaust Rattles Against Trailer Hitch on a 2011 Hyundai Elantra
  • This is common. Exhaust hangs on rubber isolators so because they can move the exhaust fits just a little different on every vehicle of the same year, make, and model. It can be fixed rather easily. I have included a link to the right that covers the ways you can fix this issue.

  • Problem with Muffler Clearance After Installing Curt Hitch Receiver # C11303 on 2013 Hyundai Elantra
  • I spoke with my contact at Curt and although he has not had any reports of issues with muffler clearance, if you begin to experience noise after installing the Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11303, he recommends using an insulated type of exhaust wrap to stop any metal to metal contact between the hitch and the muffler. I have attached an article and two videos for you.

  • Muffler Rattle with # C11303 on 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe
  • We have had some reports of this happening with other model years of the Elantra, so it's not uncommon. The good news is that there are some potential fixes for this. You can first start by taking vice grips and trying to bend the hanger to try to create more clearance between the muffler and hitch. If this hanger is bolted to the frame, you can unbolt it, and re-position the hanger so it moves the exhaust away from the hitch. The last fix would be to replace the rubber isolator that serves...

  • Pull Pin is Hard top Pull On Fulton Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Trailer Jack
  • Pull pins on swivel jacks like on # F1410050149 are difficult to pull at first when they are new. But the springs also have to be strong because you do not want the jack to slip at all. A little lubricant and a little time working the pin in and out should make it easier to use. It will also be hard to pull if there is tension on the jack. Jiggling the leg while pulling on the pin at the same time will help.

  • Troubleshooting PL Error Code On A Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller
  • The PL error code indicates the controller is losing power while the brake pedal is pressed. It wounds like you have already done a good bit of testing. I also would not assume that there is an issue with any of the wiring on the vehicle since is is relatively new and all OEM wiring. The most probable cause is a loose connection with the plug on the brake controller. In this case I do believe that hardwiring the controller will solve the issue. If it does not, then you have a defective...

  • Troubleshooting A Camco Dogbone RV Surge Protector
  • It definitely could be a burnt out light or some other internal issue with the Camco RV Power Defender # CAM55312, but the only way to really test that theory would be to connect to an outlet that had an open ground or neutral to see if the red light kicks on and the left yellow light remained off. I don't recommend testing this as you could potentially cause an electrical fire. Unfortunately Camco doesn't make it to where you can actually fix any issues with the # CAM55312 and at this...

  • Why Does Module Need to Get Moved to Install Hitch on a 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT
  • I spoke to my contact at Curt and he said that the reason you remove the nut of the module and enlarge the hole is so that it can be moved out of the way to allow the hitch part # C11400 to fit. I attached a picture that points out the correct nut that you would need to remove to allow the module to be moved so that you can access the hole to enlarge it. You should note that you won't be removing the module. Just loosening the nut so that you can move it out of the way. This is the only...

  • Exhaust is Hitting the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2016 Hyundai Elantra
  • If the exhaust is hitting your Curt trailer hitch receiver, like part # C11303, on your 2016 Hyundai Elantra, then there are a few things that you can do to help fix it. You can either bend the hanger, reposition a bolt-on hanger, replace the rubber isolator on your exhaust, or you can take it in ti a muffler shop. Since this is a pretty easy fix, you will probably not want to take it in to a shop. I have attached a help article that shows pictures and goes into a little more detail...
