  • Troubleshooting LF Error on Lippert Ground Control 3.0
  • If a fault is showing only on the left front jack of your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590 even after switching the left and right jacks and resetting the system, then you'll want to check the corresponding connector and fuse on the control module. If those look good then that sounds like you need to replace the control module with part # LC304136. If you didn't try resetting your system after switching those connectors then I recommend trying that before you purchase a new part....

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Brakes Damaged From Breakaway Pin Being Pulled and Sparks from Battery
  • I'm really sorry to hear about the mishaps on your brand new trailer! When reading through your descriptions the first thing that comes to my mind is the possibility that there's an exposed wire somewhere along the trailer that's making contact with the frame. This is essentially powering the frame so that when you attach the ground cable it's creating those sparks (which is not normal). If this isn't the exact cause of everything, there's at least something going on with the factory...

  • Why Is My Brake Fluid Coming Out Discolored When Bleeding the Brakes
  • If the brake fluid that came out when bleeding the brakes after a disc brake conversion # HSE7K-TR1 came out discolored then there's a contaminant or water in the lines somewhere. The only way to clear it out would be to run more fluid through it to pass all of the contaminant out. You'll want to bleed the brake assembly furthest from the actuator first and work your way closer to the actuator.

  • Ground Control 3.0 Touchscreen is Blank
  • If your touchscreen with the Ground Control 3.0 leveling system is blank but has power, try doing a reconfiguration or reset by pressing the home (silver) button five times. If that does not work it sounds like there is a malfunction within the remote and it will need to be replaced with the Replacement Touchscreen Remote with Charger for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric Leveling System # LC358601.

  • Troubleshooting Single Brake Assembly Replacement Getting Hot
  • Typically when it comes to breaking in a new self-adjusting assembly like the # AKEBRK-35R-SA the issue is weak braking and not too much braking or overheating. The breaking in process allows the brake shoes and magnet to seat into the drum. I would start by double checking the castle nut and make sure it is not overtightened. Hand tighten it and then back it off slightly. The other possibility is that your new brake assembly is doing all of the braking, hence the additional heat. It is...

  • Do Old Furrion Vision S Cameras have to Be Unpaired to Pair to New Cameras
  • The good news is you don't have to unpair from cameras that don't have access to any longer and would only need to pair the monitor to new cameras. On the menu of the Furrion Vision S system scroll to pairing and then select rear camera. It should find the camera but if not go back to the camera and find the pairing button on it and hold it down.

  • Trailair Rotaflex Pin Box Replacement
  • I reached out to my contact at Lippert and this pin box is not serviceable. Is there a chance you are using an autosliding hitch or something that might exert some leverage on that cushion area? The replacement pin box would be the Lippert # LC328330 (1621 Bolt Pattern - Rated 18K) Trailair pin box with rubber compound to absorb shocks. Another option is the Lippert # LC179879 Trailair Flex Air rated 18,000 pounds and 1621 bolt pattern with an internal airbag and a shock absorber to...

  • Troubleshooting Curt Echo Brake Controller Not Sending Full Power with Manual Override
  • It sounds like you aren't correctly testing the brake output setting on your Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180. What you need to be doing is driving 25 mph in an open parking lot and then applying your tow vehicle brakes with the brake pedal and then adjusting from there. Since you're starting off in a stopped position, applying the manual override, and then letting off the brakes, the Echo is likely getting confused because you had the brakes fully applied when you were at...

  • Troubleshooting A Jensen JWM40 Stereo That Turns On But No Sound Comes Out
  • I went ahead and checked out the owner's manual for the Jensen RV Stereo w DVD Player - Double DIN - App Control # JWM60A and the radio turns on but isn't putting out any sound then you'd need to do the following: -Make sure that the volume, fader/balance, and mute controls are set correctly, -Verify that the proper speakers are selected, -Verify that the speakers are connected properly, -Check your wiring for any open circuits on your speaker wires, Finally, if everything looks good...

  • Jensen Stereo JWM70A Won't Load DVDs
  • If your Jensen RV Stereo # JWM70A will not load DVDs, and you are sure they are not damaged in any way, then there is an internal issue with player. The stereo has a 1-year warranty, but if that has expired you will need to get a new Jensen RV Stereo # JWM70A.

  • Out Of Stroke Error Code Clearing On a 2021 Grand Design Reflection Lippert Ground Control
  • If you are wanting to retract the front landing gear jacks all the way you should support the front of your 2021 Grand Design Reflection by either reconnecting to your truck or using some sort of stands for the camper to sit on. You will only have to manually raise the jack cylinder that has reached its stroke limit with the control pad and then clear the code. To clear an error code from the touch pad, repair or otherwise correct the issue, then press “ENTER.” If the error is still...

  • Stabilizer Jack Troubleshooting For 2018 Grand Design Solitude Fifth Wheel.
  • Ok for hydraulic jacks that have a mind of their own you will need to do a bypass test first. Retract jack in question. If retracting hydraulic landing gear, HLG, both jacks will retract. If retracting leveling jack, all jacks will retract. Once jack is fully retracted, remove the extend hose (hose located at the top of the jack). If testing ROAD SIDE HLG or REAR STAB JACKS, the hose will be mounted to a red restricted flow valve block. At this point DO NOT attempt to extend the jacks....

  • Furrion Observation System Monitor Goes Blank With WiFi Signal Turned On
  • The reason you are having an issue with the Furrion RV Observation Camera System part # FOS43TASF while connected to WiFi in your Chevrolet Silverado is because they both operate off of radio waves that use the same frequency. Therefore, whenever you turn your truck on and the WiFi signal activates the monitor will lose signal because it picks up the radio frequency from the WiFi instead of the radio frequency from the camera. In order to use the Furrion RV Observation Camera System with...

  • How To Test A Lippert Hydraulic Slide/Leveling System Solenoid And Motor
  • The slide out could be malfunctioning for a number of reasons, but the motor or solenoid can very well be the culprit. Below I've attached a snippet from the manual that goes over how to test both the solenoid # LC118246 and the motor so that you can see if either are bad. You'll also want to check the hydraulic fluid reservoir to ensure there's enough fluid, check the lines for any leaks, and then check your electrical connections for any loose or corroded connections.

  • Troubleshooting Weak 12" Electric Brakes with Full Power Being Sent to Them
  • It looks like you have the correct voltage to your Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-7-SA so I recommend re-checking the adjustment. You said they seemed to work but you didn't mention how much you had initially adjusted them. You want there to be a slight drag when you're spinning the wheel by hand without applying the brakes. It's possible that the brakes are strong enough that you can't spin them by hand with full power applied, but the weight and momentum of your...

  • Troubleshooting A Furrion Vision S RV Camera System Monitor That Goes Black When Using View All
  • I spoke with Furrion and found that this is a known issue with the wiring on the side marker cameras # FCE48TASL. A lot of people have been installing the trigger wire in with the power wire instead of running it to the turn signal or just capping it off. I've attached an installation video I did below where I show the wires for the cameras at the 6:18 minute mark. You'll want to remove the whole side marker camera from the trailer to get to the wiring and disconnect the trigger wire...

  • Troubleshooting MaxxFan Not Opening on 2017 Grand Design Reflection
  • It looks like you have the MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Powered Lift - 4 Speed - White # MA00-04751KSX. The unit sounds like it is malfunctioning and this could be due to the rain sensor # MA34FR. It sounds to me like the sensor is seeing moisture whether there or not and keeping the power lid from opening. I recommend unplugging the rain sensor and seeing if all the other functions work. If so, then simply replace that sensor. If the other features still do not work,...

  • Replacing Fan Motor on Trailer Vent with MA10-20270
  • I checked with the manufacturer and the tiny screw you're seeing is a set screw. You will use an Allen wrench/key to remove this. I'm attaching a picture with a set of installation instructions for you to refer to when you're replacing the MaxxFan Lift Motor # MA10-20270 . We don't have the new/updated instructions available, but where it refers to a nut holding the blades on to the motor shaft, this is now a set screw like you're seeing. All of the other steps will remain the same.

  • Troubleshooting Lippert Power Tongue Jack LED Lights Staying On With Switch Turned Off
  • Since this is a brand new jack you shouldn't be experiencing problems. I spoke with my contact at Lippert who said he hasn't heard of this being a very common issue and your best bet is a bad ground or a new switch. It is also possible that you could get the unit swapped out for a new jack if it is still under warranty. I recommend checking into that first. If the LED lights on your Lippert # LC285318 Electric Trailer Jack are still illuminating when the switch is off then you either have...

  • Brakes Engage On Grand Design Momentum While Hooked Up To Shore Power
  • The shore power circuit for your trailer should not have anything to do with the trailer's brakes as they are on completely different circuits and use an entirely different type of current (AC vs. DC). However, if you have a short on the AC power circuit and the circuit is sending power to the trailer frame/body which is commonly referred to as "Hot Skin" then that could then cause the brakes to engage via the ground wire. Therefore, I recommend you disconnect shore power and see if the...
