According to Torklift they recommend that the tension on a turnbuckle, like their TorkLift SpringLoad XL Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLS9050A should be at 300-ft/lbs to properly secure the camper.

They do an excellent job securing the camper because unlike alot of system this is connected directly to the frame.
