Replacing a vent or fan isn't really difficult and can be accomplished by pretty much anyone. The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote # FV807350 is an excellent option as it does have the temp controls and automatically shuts when it starts to rain. It has a 5 inch Garnish, or sleeve, and so it will fit perfectly in the spot you described. You might even be able to leave the current sleeve in.
Although we do not have a video of the Roof Vent # FV807350 being installed, we do... view full answer...
The Quick Roof Repair Tape # QR34FR would be able to secure the wiring on top of your trailer. You would need to cut it in the future to remove it, but you want something secure like that holding the wires down.
If it was a tape you could remove by hand it definitely would not last on the roof, especially while driving. You wouldn't want cables flapping around in the wind getting damaged. Another option is to use something like the # 34427034145-1. view full answer...
All of the feedback we have received on the Lead Jack Repair Kit part # LG-146059 has said that with the jack removed from the trailer the repair kit installs very easily. I spoke to my contact at Stromberg Carlson and she said there is no reason you would have to remove the leg to install this kit, but it might be easier if you did so.
All that has to be removed to install this is the top black piece of the landing gear to access the parts to install this kit. view full answer...
The rule of thumb here in most cases is, the smoother the surface and glossier the paint, the shorter the nap. With the roof of the trailer being fairly smooth a 3/4" or less nap would be the better option. The manufacturer recommends a 5/16" or less nap or to use a paint brush.
There's a lot of debate about sliding the roller or actually letting it roll. In my opinion sliding the roller will lead to uneven coating since you're more so just pushing the sealant around. Keeping an even... view full answer...

That is a great question, but the answer is you'll have to try both sets of arrows when programming the remote part # FV9068-81, either the speed arrows or the temp ones as it can be either. Hold the remote 12 inches from the fan and hold both arrows. The auto and manual lights will flash, continue holding until all 7 lights in the middle flash once. If it does not work at first, try the other set of arrows until it does. view full answer...
