Yes, the RV Cabinet Catch and Strikes # 37270485 will work on a drawer. This latch is primarily used with cabinet doors, however I don't see any reason why you couldn't use it with a drawer.

This net comes with a mounting bracket to screw into the cabinet/wall, but would obviously sit a bit past the edge of your space by a few inches on each side.
