  • Why Is There No Tow Rating On The 2010 Toyota Yaris
  • Toyota does not rate this vehicle for towing; this could be due to limited engine or transmission capacities, frame strength, ground clearance (only 5.5 inches) or all of the above. The availability of a hitch for a certain vehicle does not necessarily mean that vehicle can tow. Hitches are available for many non-tow-rated vehicles to enable use of accessory items like bike carriers and cargo baskets. Despite your prior experience I cannot advise you to operate your vehicle in a manner...

  • Can I Tow with a 2008 Toyota Yaris Hatchback
  • All of the hitches we offer for the 2007 Toyota Yaris are Class I types intended for light-duty use, such as for attaching a bike carrier or cargo basket. Based on my research the 2007 Yaris is not rated for towing (nor are certain other Toyota models such as the Prius). You will want to refer to your owners manual or speak to a local Toyota dealer for guidance before attempting to tow any trailer. I found that the SportRack clips are slightly thicker (1.85) compared to the Rhino Rack DK clamps (0.122). I also spoke with my contact at Rhino Rack and she said they have never had an issue with their DK clamps being too thick that they interfere with closing the doors of any vehicle.

  • Recommended Roof Rack and Tie Downs for a 2018 Toyota Yaris w/out Roof Rails
  • The Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs item # RR48GR does not have any tie down points. You can add some using either the Thule Load Stops item # 753-3761 or the Rhino-Rack Eyebolts item # S604. Both would allow you to secure your ladder. The Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack item # RR48GR is confirmed to fit your 2018 Toyota Yaris with no roof rail system. I have linked a couple of installation videos below so you can see how to get these parts set up.

  • The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24819 is a great option to use in conjunction with the Lets Go Aero BikeWing-2 # LGA54FR on your 2009 Toyota Yaris. They are both lightweight but can accommodate the weight that you are needing to carry. To determine if your bikes can fit properly I can give you a few measurements. The center of the hitch pin hole for the receiver will sit about 3-1/2" - 3-3/4" from the rearmost part of your bumper. From the center of the hitch pin hole...
