The Telesteps Telescopic Ladder # TE64FR weighs only 24lbs. The small shape makes it much easier to maneuver when carrying it long distances and it is also much easier in windy conditions since you do not have the large framework like a traditional ladder which the wind easily pushes around. view full answer...
It looks like the combined weight of your trailer and Can Am is 3100 pounds.
The Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receive, part # C13701, has a maximum towing capacity of 5000 pounds (6000 with a weight distribution system).
There should be no problem with this setup. Of course, you need to check your owner's manual to ensure that your 2009 Jayco Designer Fifth Wheel can handle that weight.
You also need to check your state's regulations to see if they allow towing something behind a fifth... view full answer...

Tape measures are not as accurate a measuring tool as a digital caliper like Item # PTW80157. Based on your information, we know it will be a 10 x 2-1/4 inch hub. Another great way to find the right size is to match your inner and outer bearings which have their sizes stamped on them. It sounds like you will need 10 inch hub and drum like Item # AKHD-545-35-K that fits 3,500-lb axles with an inner bearing like Item # L68149 and and outer bearing like Item # L44649. You'll find important information about your trailer tires right on the tire sidewall. This information includes the tire size, of course, as well as the Load Range letter code for weight capacity, the Speed Rating letter code and the inflation pressure.
For a radial tire only with a speed rating higher than 65-mph you might consider the Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C which fits 12 x 4-inch wheels and which has a speed code M, which means it is good to 81-mph. This tire... view full answer...
Trailer tongue jacks can be rated for well under the trailer's actual weight since they never have to lift the entire trailer, only the weight of the tongue area at the coupler end. Usually in a properly-loaded trailer this will be between 12% and 15% of the trailer's total gross weight (GVWR).
Since your 2017 Jayco Jay Flight SLX A-frame travel trailer has an unloaded tongue weight (TW) of 710-lbs we can estimate that when fully loaded the TW will be more like 1000-lbs.

Since your tongue weight is right at 500 lbs the best Blue Ox SwayPro is the part # BLU36FR which has a tongue weight range of 200 to 600 lbs. The part # BLU67FR would be rated too high as it has a range of 600-800 lbs. If your loaded tongue weight was about 100 lbs more than what you have now this would work well but using the 500 lb figure it would be too high. You should keep in mind that any weight behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle gets counted as tongue weight.

There are a couple of different options to lift a travel trailer depending on if your axle's sit above or below the leaf springs or if you have torsion axles.
If you have torsion axles, which means the suspension and axle are one piece, you will need to use blocks like item # K71-725-02 which fits a # 12 torsion axle. These lift kits are very specific to the model of torsion axle your trailer has and the information you need can be found on the axle tag.
If your axles are already below... view full answer...
I looked up your 2018 Jayco Alante 26X and the towing capacity looks to be 5,000 lbs and the GVWR is 16,000 lbs. The GVWR is the amount of weight the vehicle can weigh total at it's capacity. So that would indicate that if you had the vehicle loaded down as heavy as possible and towing at the trailer's max capacity you'd have a combined weight rating of 21,000 lb as the max. view full answer...
