  • Availability of Cushioned Multipurpose Ball Mount
  • It sounds like you are looking for a multipurpose ball mount like part # D210, which offers a 2-1/4 inch drop. If you were needing a ballmount with a drop, the D210 would place your trailer coupler about 7/8 inches above level, which would be perfectly acceptable. The D210 is not cushioned, we do not offer a cushioned multipurpose ball mount.

  • Do Fuses Need to be Re-Installed at Each Stop When Flat Towing 2011 GMC Acadia
  • You will need to follow the instructions of the owner's manual to properly flat tow your 2011 GMC Acadia without damaging it. I took a look for myself and it does say to run it at the start of the day and at each RV fuel stop, and the fuses do need to be re-installed when you do this. Removing the fuses will ensure the battery does not drain and there is unfortunately no way around this. While you are welcome to try leaving the fuses in, there is a much better option. For your '11 Acadia...

  • Availability of 18/6 Wire in Rubber Cable
  • The only 18 gauge wiring we have available is the Deka Bonded 3 Wire # DW02923-1, which is sold by the foot. This 3-wire bonded parallel wire has 16/30 stranding with a maximum voltage of 60V. If you are able to go a bit thicker we do also have the Deka 16/4 Gauge Wire # DW03240-1, which features four 16-gauge wires fully coated in a PVC jacket. This wire is also sold by the foot. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.

  • Is a Custom Towed Vehicle Wiring Harness Available for 2007 GMC Acadia
  • You need to splice into your Acadia's wiring to allow you to flat to it. I recommend using part # RM-154. Unfortunately, the install process is more detailed and not as easy as a plug in option but once it's installed you'll be good to go. If you prefer you could go with a magnetic light kit, like part # TL21RK, to avoid splicing. The downside to the magnetic kits if you need to set them up everytime you tow. The Acadia is known to drain the battery while towing. To prevent this, you...

  • Availability of Tire Chains for GMC Acadia Denali with P255/55R20 Size Tires
  • The smaller tire sizes offered on your vehicle like the 255/65-18 DO have available chains such as the # TC2326. Currently we do not show any confirmed tire chain fits for your GMC Acadia Denali with P255/55R20 size tires. I suggest you start off with a review of your owner's manual for any guidance or restrictions regarding chain use. Your tire size and other vehicle features can affect whether chains are suitable for use on your Acadia.

  • The relays, fuses, and wiring harness for # 118271 are not available separately. But if you did get # 118271 and replaced the 7-Way with Hopkins 4- and 7-Way # HM40975 you would at least have a spare 7-Way should something happen.

  • How to Tell if a Class C RV Can Flat Tow a 2012 GMC Acadia
  • Your 2012 GMC Acadia itself can be flat towed, but you'll need to check the tow weight rating of your Class C RV to make sure it can handle the weight of your vehicle. From what I'm seeing your Acadia can weigh from 4,656 to 4,857 lbs so your Class C needs to be able to tow at least 5,000 lbs. For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have...

  • Tow Bar Adapter to Adapt Blue Ox Base Plates # BX1675 to Roadmaster Stowmaster Tow Bar # RM-501
  • The Roadmaster/Blue Ox adapters you referenced, parts # RM-031 and # RM-031-5, do not fit the Stowmaster tow bars. The Blue Ox base plates # BX1675 for your 2008 GMC Acadia are designed for use with motor home mounted tow bars and not car mounted tow bars like the Stowmaster. Further, your 2008 Acadia may weigh too much to allow use of any tow bar adapters, which are only rated for use with vehicles up to 5000-lbs. A better and safer option is to use a directly-compatible Blue Ox tow...
