ST205/75R15 Spare Tire with Load Range D Needed for ATV Trailer

Question:

Im looking for a Contender TTT868 size ST205/75R15 with a Load Range D. I see that you have a load range C on your website. Am I just missing the D somehwhere? Whats the difference between Load Range C and D. I just bought an atv trailer and want to get a spare to match.

You can use the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # TR20515D. This is a Load Range D tire that fits 15 inch rims and has a maximum load of 2,150 lbs at 65 psi.

The load range of a tire indicates its horizontal and sidewall strength. Load Range D means that the tire has an 8 Ply Rating at 65 psi and will have a higher weight capacity than Load Range C. Load Range C has a 6 Ply Rating at 50 psi. The weight capacity of a ST205/75R15 Load Range D Tire is 2,150 lbs at 65 psi as opposed to 1,820 lbs at 50 psi for a Load Range C Tire. I have included a great article that explains the different components branded on a tire and what each of them mean.
