  • 1-Bike Rack Compatible With Class I, 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch
  • Thanks for the purchase of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11416 for your 2017 Honda HR-V, and while I couldn't find exactly where it was referenced on the product page that the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo 1-Bike Rack # RKY10007 was compatible with Class I hitches, you are 100 percent correct that it is NOT compatible with a Class I, 1-1/4" hitch and requires a Class II hitch. Saris actually shows an example in their instruction of this rack on a car with a similar roof extension which you can see below. The straps are designed...

Reason being is, the max towing capacity for that vehicle is only 2,000 lbs so it wouldn't make sense to make a bigger hitch. There is an adapter # HTAD that you "could" use to physically get your rack to fit into the hitch, but whenever you use an adapter you lose 50% of your tongue weight capacity which would reduce it to practically nothing. I'd recommend just getting a new bike rack that is meant...
