Hi Saher,
For a 2017 Honda Ridgeline you'd need the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Handle # PL8675 if your current tailgate lock has a built in camera or the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 if it does not. I've attached a couple of videos below where either Rob or Ryan will walk you through the installation process, depending on the kit you choose. view full answer...
I recommend the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock with Plug & Play T-Harness # PL94FR for your 2014 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. This kit includes the Plug and play harness so that you are not tapping into any wires on your Tundra. It will allow you to lock and unlock your tailgate with your existing key fob or power locks. view full answer...
Hey Jim,
It looks like we used to offer the LH-006 but no longer do so I have either a powered or manual lock option from Pop & Lock:
- Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock - Power - Black # PAL8320
- Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock - Manual - Black # PAL3300
With the age of the truck I'd honestly just stick with a manual lock to avoid splicing into any wiring that could be brittle at this point. It'll also be quite a bit easier to install since you won't have to run wires through the tailgate... view full answer...
While the TailgateCamera Handle With 180 Degree Camera for 2002-2008 Dodge Ram looks identical to the factory handle on your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 I have never worked with this product so I cannot tell if any of the internal mechanisms that the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL3400 attaches to are different. If you can get TailgateCamera to confirm if the internals of their handle are the same as the factory with the only difference being the camera portion there is no reason the Pop... view full answer...
I do have one option for you since the Replacement BOLT Lock Cylinder # BL709231 is for the Tailgate Handle with BOLT Lock # BL5922987 and will not replace the factory lock on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500WT. For that cylinder you will need to visit a Chevrolet dealer.
We do offer the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8140 that will allow for you to use the power locks on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 WT to lock and unlock your tailgate so that you will not need the key. view full answer...
Hey Rob,
There unfortunately isn't an add-on lock for BAKFlip tonneau covers so the only way you'd be able to prevent someone from getting into the bed of your truck would be to close the cover and lock the tailgate. We do offer tailgate locks from Pop & Lock that you can install to automatically lock the tailgate with your key fob. If you're interested then I'd need to know the year/make/model of your truck. view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, George!
The Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock with Handle # PAL1700C is plastic with a chrome finish added to it. According to the reviews we've received people are saying the quality is pretty similar to what came as factory on their truck so I wouldn't say it is high quality, but I also wouldn't say you're downgrading by replacing your OEM 2012 GMC Canyon handle with this.
When I'm shopping online 1-Star ratings make me a little nervous as well so you aren't alone... view full answer...
For your 2015 Toyota Tundra I recommend the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PL94FR because it has a plug-in harness which makes the installation easier. view full answer...
Hey there Chase, thanks for the question and I believe you're asking for the Pop & Lock for your 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500, and the correct part number for your truck is the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock - Power # PL8145.
I also took a look at the instructions for you, and they do specify that you need to run the wire up to the cab and engine compartment. view full answer...
Hello Douglas. The etrailer Hard Tonneau Cover # e23DR does lock, by working in tandem with the locked tailgate. The cover itself has no external locks or latches. The release it located under to cover itself, so the cover cannot be opened without first opening the tailgate. view full answer...
Hey Dave, unfortunately the spring itself is not replaceable so you'd need to replace the entire part with the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8600. view full answer...
I recommend the Gen-Y Hitch Phantom # GY48XR with the Pintle Lock # 325-GH-032 for your GMC MultiPro tailgate. The B&W Town & Stow Pintle # BWTS10056 is not compatible with your tailgate. And the versions of the Tow & Stow which are compatible with your tailgate do not offer a pintle capability. view full answer...
Hey Jarvis, the Lippert Tailgate Storage System # LC404069 would install using either the Lippert Tailgate Storage System Mounting Kit # LC432223 or # LC432336 using the included brackets and hardware.
To answer your second question, the tailgate storage system # LC432223 would install under the bumper and # LC432336 would install over the bumper. view full answer...
At this time it doesn't look like Pop & Lock offer just the lock core separately from the # PAL6100 but you could still try giving them a call and seeing if they can swap it out without having to replace everything. In the meantime while you still have to use it I recommend spraying some white lithium grease # RM-747 into the lock core and working the key around to loosen up any built up corrosion or debris. WD40 is usually good for this as well but can allow debris to stick to it whereas... view full answer...
Yes, the Trifecta ALX Soft Tonneau Bed Cover item # EX93CV is a way better cover in my opinion. You can secure it when you lock your Frontier's tailgate. The Extang Trifecta 2.0 item # EX89CV does not include the auto-latching system. It just closes.
Both of these covers are confirmed to fit your 2024 Nissan Frontier SL with a 5' bed. view full answer...
Hey Terry,
If the pin box is contacting the bed rails/tailgate when sliding back then the only other option would be to switch out the pin box for a rotating pin box like a Reese Sidewinder. Rotating pin boxes move the pivot point for the trailer back 22" to the connection point for the pin box on the nose of trailer. This gives a ton of extra turning clearance to help make 90 degree turns and the pin box will stay straight down the middle of the bed and won't move or come into contact... view full answer...
Hey Joesph, thanks for the photos!
The instructions for the Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer with V-Style Carriers # MAL43FR references anchoring the straps to the bottom of the posts, but if you feel like you have the kayaks properly secured using your current method it kind of boils down to what you feel works best for your application.
I will say from experience that if your gut instinct is to use longer straps and secure it around the bottom of the posts then I'd go that route. Anytime... view full answer...
You can use the Yakima HD Crossbars # Y01159 with the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR as long as you use the HD Bar SL Adapter # Y03541. You will need 2 sets of the Landing Pad # Y00221 to connect the towers to the T-Slots in the RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-60245. The SkyLine tower is going to give you 3" of height while the landing pad for attaching to the t-track will give you another 1" of height so you will have the clearance necessary to clear the latch. view full answer...
