Your Thule Quest TH846 was actually replaced by the Thule Outbound Rooftop Cargo Bag # TH868 and they install the same way. They have the front and rear straps for crossbars, but Thule also points out that the side anchoring rings can be used if the only anchoring option for your vehicle is the side rails (see attached clip of instructions).

I was hoping we had an installation video but it appears we currently only have use videos at this time for the Thule Hullavator # TH898. To begin you are correct the entire system weighs 39.7lbs so each individual piece would weight around 20lbs. They can be installed one of 2 ways depending on if your cross bars has a t-slot. Since Inno designed their roof rack system to use the fixed mounting points on your 2022 Honda Pilot's rails you would have to loosen the tension knob and retighten it every time that you wanted to remove/reinstall the crossbars. The Allen wrench is just there to help give you a bit more leverage when tightening the knob. I've listed out the components you'll need for the roof rack below:
