Yes, the MaxxFan Mini Plus Manual RV Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-03801 does have just a black power wire and white ground wire. You'll want to pick up some buytl tape # AL28FJ and self-leveling sealant # 34427034145-1 to waterproof the vent. When we installed the MaxxFan Dome Roof Vent # MA00-03812W the installer described it as a "nice gentle hum" so it is not very loud. The simplest way to cut power to the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K is by pulling the fuse which powers the fan. This is most likely in the power center if the fan was installed from the factory. You could also disconnect both the 120 volt power going into the camper as well as the battery on the camper to kill power to all the circuits of the camper. view full answer...
That does sounds frustrating, Cody. But, I do think I've stumbled onto something you can use. According to the instructions, the wiring for the actual fan motor goes:
-Connect the white (positive) wire from motor to the white (positive) wire from the ceiling,
-Connect the motor grounding wire from to the grounding wire in the ceiling,
-Connect the blue (negative) wire from motor to the blue (negative) wire to the ceiling.
