According to Saris, their Bones 2 Bike Carrier # SA805BL is not a fit for the spoiler-equipped Scion xA Hatchback nor FR-S Coupe. Also, the folks at Hollywood Racks, maker of many spoiler-friendly bike racks, does not recommend any of their trunk-mount carriers for your Scion. But my trusty technical pal at Thule confirmed that as long as your spoiler is factory-installed (and is not an added-on aftermarket product) that many of their racks are tested and confirmed to be compatible.

The Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 features a 1/2" pin diameter and is compatible with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, however it is meant to be used with Thule hitch mounted racks. Most bike racks require a brand specific pin because they are threaded and the threads are usually different between bike racks. The Thule OutWay # TH45JV is definitely the bike rack I recommend and it will fit both your 2004 Scion xA and 2005 Saturn Ion sedan. I actually own the 3-bike version of this rack and it is the best trunk mount I have used, hands down.

I checked with Yakima and to mount the KingJoe bike rack Y02620 or another model KingJoe to the 2006 Scion xA you will not need the glass hatch hook. You will just use the straps as they are.
