The Thule Raceway 2 Bike Racks part number # TH9001 and # TH9001PRO, and the # TH9001PRO are all discontinued model. These have been updated to the newest version which is the OutWay # TH45JV. It has several upgrades from the previous generation so it would be the best rack for you to use.
The # TH45JV is lighter at only 13 pounds. They have upgraded the cradling system with road dampening technology, as well as an improved spooling mechanism and has changed to only 2 cables. The... view full answer...
I suggest the Yakima HighRoad, part # Y02114 for your 2015 Nissan Murano. The wheel mount is much easier to load than the fork mount and will definitely be compatible with your road bikes.
To connect the High Roller to your factory Nissan crossbars you will need MightyMounts # Y03590 as well. If you're interested in securing your bikes to the rack you may be interested in the Yakima Same Key System Lock Cores # Y07202. I've attached a video review of the lock cores for you to take... view full answer...
Both the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G and Kuat Sherpa 2.0 # SH22G are wheel-mounted bike racks that grasp the bikes by the front wheels with ratcheting hooks and the rear wheels with ratcheting straps, which makes either a great choice for a bike with a carbon fiber frame.
The two racks are similar in many ways but if it were me I'd go with the more economical Kuat Sherpa 2.0 # SH22G which also has the convenience of just twisting a hand knob to tighten the shank in your hitch, which was one of... view full answer...
The hitches available for your 2004 Nissan Murano both have a cross tube that runs side to side behind the receiver on the hitch. This tube, either square or round will be visible no matter the choice. For the least visible style of hitch, I would normally choose a round tube style. This construction is less noticeable and blends better with the shadows under the car than the squared edges of the square tube construction hitches.
My recommendation, for the least visible hitch in this case,... view full answer...
Curt, the manufacturer, has determined that some of their hitches should be used with stabilization strap # 18050 when using a bike rack or cargo carrier. This is a requirement from Curt for their warranty. Like you said Hidden Hitch does not have this requirement though you could still use the strap if you wanted. The strap relieves some of the stress on the hitch.
If you want to avoid using the strap then I recommend going with Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75952. I have linked a video showing... view full answer...
The etrailer and Curt hitches are manufactured by two separate companies. Either hitch is equivalent in quality, installation procedures, and capacity. Really the primary difference between them is cosmetic. The etrailer # e65AR hitch has a matte black powder coat finish and the Curt # 13577 has a shiny powder coat finish. Most folks find the round tubes of these hitches to be very pleasing to the eye. Functionally speaking either hitch would work great for you.
The etrailer hitch is... view full answer...
There is just a one difference between the Curt and etrailer trailer hitches that fit your 2023 Nissan Murano, which is the finish. The Curt has a glossier finish than the matte black finish of the etrailer hitch, so you can choose which you prefer. The hitches that fit your '23 Murano are the following part numbers:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98907
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13205
The matte black finish is nice as it hides the inevitable dings, scuffs and scratches better... view full answer...
The trailer wiring harness options for a 2014 Nissan Murano all pretty much do the same thing and will work well for you. That said, I do prefer the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118653 as the converter box is designed a bit better. It's smaller so easier to mount, has a tab for screw attachment which helps with longevity, and the potting which holds the wires on the board inside is much more durable. In summary, we have better experience with the T-One compared to the T-Connector... view full answer...
