On the SportRack roof rack # SR1002 there are a number of snowboard racks I could recommend. Depending on how many skis and or snowboards you will be carrying you should choose the one that fits your needs. For example, the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # TH7325 will carry 6 skis or 4 snowboards and is a good fit.

We offer two base plate kits for your 2008 Honda fit, Blue Ox # BX2252 and the Roadmaster # 521558-1 that you referenced. In order to use the Roadmaster plates with your Demco tow bar you will also need to use an adapter.

If your nephew is a mechanic he'd have no problem installing the Blue Ox base plate kit part # BX2253 on your 2011 Honda Fit. It's not an overly difficult install at all. He could do the lighting and braking too most likely as well but if not we can too if you are near us.

There is not a difference between the 2009 to 2013 Honda Fit as far as the size of hitch that will fit and the maximum amount of weight it can carry. The Honda Fit will use a Class I, 1-1/4 inch hitch with a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs.

Flat towing a vehicle is not something that as may people do as say using that same vehicle for towing a small utility trailer. None of the towing parts manufacturers, at least to my knowledge, have started building custom fit diode kits because the demand would not be there to offset the design and engineering costs.

I have a solution for you, but Thule is very strict about their stuff only being available in the area it is originally sold in. I don't have any fit info for your 2007 Honda Fit or Elantra with a Thule Sweden bike rack.
