  • SeaSucker Vacuum Cup Strength Rating and Compatibility
  • I don't have any information on the VacuRack, but the Seasucker is a great product. The SeaSucker Surfboard Carrier - Vacuum Cup Mounted - 1 Surfboard or Paddleboard # 298-BX1806 will fit on your 2014 VW Beetle and has 6 vacuum cups. Each cup on any of their carriers is rated for 210 lbs and has been tested for speeds up to 140 mph. This particular product weighs just 12 lbs and will absolutely hold your board safely to your vehicle. For added security you can add the SeaSucker Cable...

  • Installing Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs on 2013 VW Beetle
  • Which spring are you using? You'll want to make sure you're using the correct spring for the vehicle. If your Beetle is a Turbo model, use # F4175 or # F4176 for non-turbo models. When you're installing the air springs, it's very important that the car is up on jack stands being held by the frame, not by the axle or the suspension. With the rear suspension hanging free, there should be enough space between the coils of the spring to shove the air spring into the coil, after you've flattened...

  • Does the Blue Ox Patriot Braking System Require Wiring to Tow Vehicle Braking System
  • The Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR that you referenced does not wire into the stoplight circuit of the tow vehicle at all. The inertia sensor of the unit is always looking for braking action of the tow vehicle. It does not require the stoplight switch of your tow vehicle to start activating at all. When the unit senses a change in inertia that would coincide with braking it begins to start applying the brakes of the towed vehicle.

  • Is There Drilling Required to Install Curt Hitch on a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle
  • To make the installation of the Curt Hitch part # C11354 as easy as possible it will help to have the rear end of the vehicle lifted up in the air so that you can get underneath it. Removing the existing bolts in the frame would not then cause the rear of the vehicle to come apart and/or fall down after they get removed. There is no drilling required for the install of this hitch either.

  • Can A 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Be Flat Towed?
  • I took a look at what I could find for an owner's manual for your vehicle, the only thing I could find is that they recommend that the vehicle shouldn't be towed over 30MPH, for over 30 miles, which would indicate to me that it is only intended to be flat towed in emergency situations only. However, I do recommend that you still consult the owner's manual that was provided with the vehicle. If it turns out you actually can flat tow your vehicle, you're going to need: -A base plate like...

  • Mounting Locations For Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24922 On a 2018 Volkswagen Beetle
  • I have attached a image of the diagram included in the installation instructions. In the image you can see the frame rails and the supports. The receiver is designed to reuse the bolts that hold those supports to attach the receiver at the forward most part. The spacers, carriage bolts and remaining hardware are for the rear slots in the frame to anchor the rear holes of the receiver. I have also linked the installation instructions below for you to reference.

  • Should a Front Wheel Drive Vehicle Be Left in Gear When on Tow Dolly
  • Since your 2013 Volkswagen Beetle is front wheel drive and you would want the front wheels of the vehicle to stay in the dolly while towing you would want to leave it in gear when on a tow dolly like part # RM-2050-1. The straps of the dolly should keep the vehicle on the dolly as well though. You will need to check the owners manual of your vehicle before you tow it for any restrictions on towing as well.

  • Trailer Hitch and Brake Controller for 2013 Volkswagen Beetle 5-Speed Gas Non-Turbo
  • All hitches made for your 2013 Volkswagen Beetle are light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class I types that will use the same mounting points on the vehicle for installation. All three hitches have a visible cross tube that will sit below your rear bumper cover as shown in the video for Curt hitch # C11260. There is no option for your Beetle for a hitch with a concealed cross tube as you had on your Yaris. All hitches for your Beetle can be seen on the linked page. All include the required installation...
