Yes, there will be some rear fascia trimming required to install the correct hitch for your 2005 Nissan 350Z, Curt Hitch part # 11483. Check out the picture I attached to see what the trimming will look like. I also attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
The Curt Hitch # 11493 that you referenced is designed for the 2006 Nissan 350Z and would not work for your 2005 model. For the record it requires fascia trimming as well. view full answer...
