Sounds like you want an access door that you could put up near the front of the trailer. The largest option we have is the Multi Purpose Access Door part # SE58VR which is 14 inches wide by 24 inches tall. This might work for you but you might also be looking for something larger than that. view full answer...
Hey Tom, I would recommend the Curt front hitch part # C31076 because we have the best luck with Curt hitches from a consistent quality standpoint and this hitch has tow hooks on the front as opposed to the Draw Tite part # 65074 that also fits your 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road. view full answer...
Hey Matt. I was looking over some pictures and specs for these old town discovery solo 119 canoes. It looks pretty neat, kind of a canoe/kayak hybrid. To answer your question, yes, I do think the Yakima Kayak Roof Rack # Y04083-04082 will work very well for carrying this kind of canoe.
The front saddles and rollers can be adjusted to fit the shape and virtually any kayak or canoe under 80 lbs. From what I could find online, these old town discovery solo 119 canoes are 11'9" long and 32.5"... view full answer...
I took a look at some photos of the crossbars on your 2019 Toyota 4Runner, and you weren't kidding when you said there wasn't much clearance. Thankfully, there is exactly one J-style kayak carrier that lack of clearance won't be a problem for, and that's called the Kuat V2, is available in either black or gray:
- Black: Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # KU53VR
- Gray: Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # KU33VR
The reason this will work with such limited clearance... view full answer...
Yes, the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR will connect to your 2021 Toyota 4Runner with the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED49FR. Then you can use the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002 to mount the control knob in place of one of the blank covers.
While the Redarc Liberty is a great controller if you plan to trailer off-road you should consider the Redarc Elite # RED44FR as it has both the proportional mode which works best on the streets and the user controlled mode which... view full answer...

The Malone FoldAway-5 Kayak, Canoe, and SUP Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # MAL38FR will fit your 2024 Toyota 4Runner Limited OEM roof rack crossbars, but I do recommend replacing them with the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG215 because your OEM crossbars sit really close to your roof so there is a possibility that the bottom part of the mounting hardware can make contact with your roof and scratch it.
With the aftermarket roof rack it will sit higher than... view full answer...

The Replacement Shank for Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mounts # C45910 will be able to accommodate the Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch # 336VS503 just fine. The Lock N Roll has 2" spacing between the mounting holes while the Curt has 1" spacing so you'll be skipping a hole when you install it. view full answer...
According to Cruisemaster, the DO35 can be used with load distribution hitches (WDH) providing the coupling movement is not obstructed and the maximum downward load of 350kg is not exceeded. Looking at their instructions you will have to get an adapter that is designed for a Hayman Reese Classic weight distribution hitch which comes from Australia. If you wanted to use a different brand like the Equal-i-zer # EQ37041ET you looked at you will have to reach out to Cruisemaster to see it is... view full answer...
Hi Ed,
Yes, the pin # C87ER included with the Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler for 2" Ball # C82CR is 1/2" diameter so you could use a locking hitch pin lock like the Curt # C23517. This locking hitch pin is 1/2" in diameter with a 2-13/16" span to fit the width of the coupler. view full answer...
Demco unfortunately doesn't have an EZ-latch coupler for a 2" wide channel so you're left with three options:
etrailer # CT-3001-Z (3-1/16 bolt hole spacing)
Curt # C82CR (3" bolt hole spacing)
Dutton-Lainson # DL13835 (3" hole spacing)
Of the three options the Curt # C82CR is going to be the easiest to use since it just has a 1/2" diameter hitch pin to slip through the coupler and lock the ball in place. The only other option would be to have some 1/2" steel plates added to the... view full answer...
To use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier # TH898 on your 2021 Toyota 4Runner I recommend the Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710401 with either the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars in Black # TH711420 or Silver # TH711400. These crossbars are 53" long allowing you to have the minimum 4" overhang needed for the Hullavator.
Since you need the 4" overhang for the crossbars you will not be able to use the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack.
The Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450800 will... view full answer...

The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4135 are what you're needing as long as your 2008 Toyota 4Runner is still using the factory springs. If your 1.5" lift kit required different springs then you'll need a different solution like the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS78DR. view full answer...
Hi Brad; since the weight of the trailer is more than 50% of your 2018 4Runner GVWR a weight distribution hitch is recommended. To choose the right WDH you want the tongue weight of your loaded setup. It looks like the dry tongue weight of the 2020 Lance 1575 is 240 lbs. Tongue weight is typically 10% - 15% of the trailer weight so at 3,700 lbs you're potentially topping out at 555 lbs.
Based on these numbers I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600.... view full answer...

To install the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # TH849000 on your 2021 Toyota 4Runner I recommend the 53" Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 with the Evo Feet # TH710401.
The Thule One-Key System # TH450800 will provide you with 8 lock cylinders of which 4 can be used with the rapid feet, 2 with the kayak carrier and the other 2 can be kept as spares or used with additional Thule accessories so that you can have one key that works for all the locks. view full answer...

It is really going to come down to the loads you are hauling but in most cases you would be better off using the front 2 axle positions. Do understand your hangers will still likely need adjusted since the distance between the center hangers is typically different than the front and rear hangers. This is caused by the leaf springs mounting to the front and rear hangers rather than to the equalizers like you have on the center hangers. Also you should reach out to the trailer manufacturer... view full answer...
The item # MA52PR won't work with Jetstream crossbars but I have a set that will. It is the Maxtrax Flat Rack Mount for MKII and Xtreme Recovery Boards item # MA42PR. The T-bolts will fit the channels on top of your Yakima JetStream Crossbars.
It won't work with a 32" crossbar spread so you'll need to adjust your crossbars slightly. The mounting holes on the Maxtrax Recovery Boards like item # MA97FV are 10.62" apart and 35" apart. view full answer...
