Yes you can bypass the regulator on your trailer tank and go directly from the grill to your trailer's quick disconnect. What you're going to need is the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose - Model 250 Quick-Disconnect # 100476-72-MBS and the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting # 103613-MBS.
From here you will just connect the Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting to your trailer's tank and run the adapter hose # 100476-72-MBS to your Coleman RoadTrip and you'll be all set.

The Lippert # LC643589 Smart Jack is designed to be fully exposed to the elements, so using a cover for it isn't necessary, but there's no reason why you couldn't use one if you wish.
A cover like # UF38-944026 could indeed be used, but if you decide to do so, I'd only tighten up the draw string enough so that the cover won't get blown off. If you tighten it any further than that, the condensation that can build up might not be able to evaporate.

From what I could find on your 2014 Lance 1575 travel trailer, it has a 2775 lb. dry weight so you most likely have a #10 Torflex axle. Heating pads such as the # 277-000164 are designed for 29 to 40 gallon tanks which are much larger than the tanks on your Lance 650 truck camper. My fear is that they could possibly get too hot and damage the tank.
From what you describe, a solution such as a self-regulating heating cable such as the Valterra # W01-1573 for a 25 foot or # W01-1574 for a 50 foot length would be your best bet. The cables operate on 120V AC power, so you'll need an inverter like # DU89FR to power them.

Your best bet for your 2018 Lance TT is to use a universal hitch. These hitches are going to be adjustable to fit a variety of frame widths and will work great with hitch mounted accessories like the bikes you plan to carry.
