Simply press the "Fireplace/TV" button at the top of the remote, then, you should be able to control the fireplace using the bottom... view full answer...

The Greystone 36" Electric Fireplace # 324-000081 is designed to fit into 34-1/4" wide x 16-1/2" tall x 5-1/2" deep openings, so it's a bit smaller than the opening, but it's going to be the closest possible fit for your opening.
