Horse trailers are enclosed, but they usually don't use the enclosed trailer ramp springs for the safety of the horses. They use smaller versions of our heavy-duty ramp springs. Since you have a Class I hitch on your vehicle I have a great bike rack solution for your heavier e-bikes but the Sherpa does not have the capacity you'll need so it would not be the way to go. Instead I'd recommend the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 as it was designed for E-bikes so it can handle the weight and is also very easy to load/unload due to it's included ramp setup and has a frame clamp design that works great with the typically alternative style frames of e-bikes. view full answer...
