  • Recommended Brake Controller For A 2022 Motorhome On A Ford F-53 Chassis
  • Hi Kurt, To install a trailer brake controller in your motorhome on an F-53 chassis you'll first need to check the rear to see if you have a 4-pole or 7-pole trailer connector. If you don't already have a connector at all then you'll start by splicing in a 4-pole wire harness # 18002 into your factory tail light wiring to get the light signals. From there you'll need the # ETBC7 to transition over to a 7-way connector. The 4-pole connector you install will connect to the 4-pole connector...

  • Recommended Sink Cover for a 27 Inch x 16 Inch RV Sink
  • If you have a double sink such as the Better Bath Double Bowl RV Kitchen Sink part # LC388412 then you could use the Camco RV Wooden Sink Cover part # CAM43437, part # CAM43431, or part # CAM43436 on each side but that would be the only option we have for you as we do not offer any sink covers that would cover the dimensions of your sink with one piece.

Both stabilizers will definitely help make a difference with the wandering you've been experiencing with the only difference between the two being that the Exact Center offers more adjustability to fine tune the performance. The jam nuts on the Exact Center can be...

  • Should Front or Rear Air Bags Be Added to a 2015/2016 Thor Motorhome
  • Hey James, thanks for reaching out! The Front # AL88240 and Rear # AL57344 air spring kits for a 2015 Ford F-53 chassis will install in a similar fashion but we don't have any videos for the rear air bag kit like you mentioned. If I was in your case I would definitely install the rear bags as well. We actually recommend adding suspension enhancements to the rear axles before adding stuff to the front axles as you'll see a bigger improvement in performance. You can add them to both, but...

  • Recommended Air Pressure for Air Bags on 2000 F-53 Chassis Motorhome
  • There is no exact air pressure setting for your # AL57140. Since they're at 50 psi right now and you're on rough roads I would go ahead and increase the pressure to see how that impacts the ride quality. The minimum is 5 psi and the maximum is 100 psi so you have quite a bit of room to play with over the 50 psi you're at now. As a general rule, air helper springs will support approximately 40 lbs of load for each psi of inflation pressure per pair. At 50 psi you have 2,000 lbs of additional...

  • Best Suspension Upgrades For 2007 Gulf Stream Independence 22,000 GVWR on Ford Chassis
  • Hey Jaran, Great questions, and regarding the anti-sway bars, I definitely recommend upgrading to a larger size. When it comes to anti-sway bars on motorhomes like your Gulf Stream, bigger is definitely better. The larger the diameter of bar, the higher the roll stiffness it gives you, and that's the most important aspect of handling sway. The rear anti-sway bar is the best upgrade, followed by the front anti-sway bar, and then steering stabilizer for added control in the heavy crosswinds....

  • Is There a Way to Make Invisibrake LED Monitor Light Easier to View
  • Hey David, so LED lights can be a bit directional so first thing I would do is make sure it's facing your tow vehicle as squarely as possible so you can get the best viewing angle of it. Next make sure all of the glass surfaces it needs to shine through for you to see it are as clean as possible. Aside from that if you really wanted to get creative you could try wiring in a second LED to the power and ground wires of the current light.

  • Are SumoSprings Rebel Helper Springs More or Less Harsh than Air Bags
  • Hey Mark, so the SumoSprings Rebel springs part # SSF-170-40-2 do not have a reputation as being harsh but they provide a consistent support level whereas air bags are adjustable so they can be made to be very harsh or basically non-existent. Now if you wanted to compare an equivalent amount of pressure between the SumoSprings and air bags the SumoSprings are going to be less harsh. This does replace the bump stops.
