Hey everybody Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be checking out the Performance Tool LED drop light. Now, this drop light is going to be a great upgrade for maybe your garage, your shop, backyard, driveway, or just to keep it in your truck if you ever have to do work in the dark. It's always nice to have some extra light. As you can see, this drop light provides a ton of light. So this is going to be really good if you're working on your vehicle anywhere.
It actually provides 1,000 lumens worth of lighting, so that's going to be more than enough to illuminate either your engine bay, maybe underneath the vehicle, or if you're working in, let's say, under a cabinet or anything like that, this is going to be really awesome. Our light does come with rubber grip handles, so it's going to be nice and easy to hold on to. It is going to be a polymer construction. We have a really nice black powder coat finish over our cage to actually protect our light. And up here we are going to have a hook so you can hang it on any surface you need to.
And now you might be thinking, how long is this cable If it's a drop light you definitely need it to be pretty long. But in this case, we actually have a 25 foot cable. So that's going to be awesome 'cause you're not gonna have to be right next to the outlet around a bunch of extension cords. Simply plug it in and take a light wherever you need to go. And probably my favorite feature about this is actually going to be the LED lights.
Not only are they super bright, they last a really long time but they also don't get as hot as your standard drop light. A lot of times you'll end up bumping it and you burn yourself. So you're not gonna have to worry about that with this light. Another thing that I like is going to be this actual hook. you can swivel it different ways to get it positioned in the area that you need it.
And another really cool feature is that if this light isn't enough, there's going to be another plug in the back. So let's say you wanted to hook up two of these. Plug it in right here, and you're good to go. You simply just pull your phone up, you can plug it in to charge it while you're watching your video to get your installation done. And if you're working in the dark underneath your vehicle, as you can see, it provides more than enough light to get the job done. Now, if you do happen to get in an emergency situation it's going to be hard to rely on a battery operated flashlight. Granted, they did the job pretty good, but what if the battery dies, then you're out of luck. As you can see, it does the job, but it's not that bright. And we do have another option. You can find this here at etrailer. This one just plugs into your cigarette lighter and it's pretty bright as well but this does use a magnet to mount. Then if your truck happens to have a power inverter like this one does, you can just plug this simply right into that. As you can see, that's going to provide almost too much light, but we can definitely make sure that we're seen and we can work on anything that needs to be fixed. All in all, this light is pretty awesome. I really like the grip handles. It feels nice and secure in your hand. I really like the swivel hook and the best feature by far is going to be that it's LED. Like I said, a lot of times you'll end up burning yourself and nobody wants that, especially when you're working on something. So that's pretty much going to do it for our look at the Performance Tool LED drop light..

Use it every day at Work and it is still going strong!
I am a plumbing contractor by trade and I bought two of these drip lights. I like them because they look quality made. I like the metal hook that swivels l on top of the light. The protective metal frame around the light looks like a good idea. I wanted a drop lite with a longer cord and these are 25 feet which is great. I also like the outlet at the bottom to run a power tool or another light if necessary. It took a while to get the lights but the quality made the wait worth while. I would buy they again if I needed.
Parts bag was open so missing hardware. Could not assemble. Tried to call to report, automated voice said wait would be over an hour.
The drop light has been working great gives off grat light and seams to be holding up great after 1 year. Purchased 2 more for other trucks.
Amazing
