Install was relatively easy on 2020 Frontier. Tied into the wiring in the passenger side B pillar. Instructions are vague. Video for an install on a 2019 Frontier made all the difference. Tied blue to purple and green to light blue wires in the B pillar. Just like in the video. Worked perfectly. I think earlier models will be different. Can’t attest to longevity, just installed it yesterday.

Works great! Nice to know the bed is locked clicking the fob. One thing to note, if you unlock Nissan Pickup and only open the tailgate the doors will auto relock after 3 min. If you open a passenger door the vehicle will stay unlocked.
Also don't use the note on wire clamp ever for any application. Cut the wire you are tapping into and use a butt connector.

to you but I wanted to take the time to do that now. I want to say that your Poplock tailgate lock worked wonderfully so simple to install and adds a great sense
of security to my daughters nissan pickup. Your item coupled with the hard cover I got for her secures her bed completely. Wiring and installation was so simple
to do and your instructions were right on target. Wonderful product

2019 Nissan Frontier
Packaging stated that this was only good up to the 2013 Frontier but there haven't been any changes to the Frontier up until 2019 at least so it worked fine for my 2016 Frontier. Instructions are not great, but search youtube you'll find a great video from a guy who does a step by step install. (Here's the video: https://youtu.be/lcQpAad2NK0) Trickiest part is snaking the wire around into the harness in the tailgate and then up into the truck. I brought mine up through the passenger's seatbelt column like the video showed. Functionality is great, no issues at all. Great product.

2016 Nissan Frontier
Item arrived quickly and well packaged. Hardware was snug fit but was correct for my model & year. The wiring was a lot more difficult to navigate because the instruction listed the wrong color for my model year. I contacted manufacturer (Pop& Lock) and tech provided me with correct wiring colors to tap. All in all good product so far but having more in depth and visual guides on wiring tie-in would have saved me some serious frustration. I would also recommend a second tie-in for 2nd option on fob for two click to open like passenger and cab doors.

I like the product. I am not particularly gifted mechanically but was able to install it without much difficulty. I had watched a youtube video of an installation of a pop & lock and that made it easier. I know I will enjoy having it on my truck.

- Removing The Tailgate With The Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock # PAL8450 Installed The Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock - Power - Black # PAL8450 has a short wiring harness that will run through the tailgate and then under the bed to the frame and plug into the long wiring harness connector so as long as you mount the connectors is an easily accessible position under the vehicle it should only take a few seconds to unhook them and then remove the tailgate.
