Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com Today we're going to take a quick look at the 45 millimeter Festoon Base LED Bulbs. These LED bulbs are going to be a great replacement or upgrade for your 45 millimeter festoon bulbs. They are going to provide a nice, cool white light. So they're going to be great for your overhead applications, maybe your refrigerator lighting, many different options for your RVs, trailers, boats, cars, and truck interiors. They do have directional light as all of the light emitting diodes are on the one side, so that's going to give you the ability to have focused lighting.
This is a 12-volt bulb, so it's going to work great for your automobile applications. It has the nine light emitting diodes on the one side that provide 115 lumens of cool white light coming in at 5,500 Kelvin.So easier to show you than to tell you, let me hook this up to some power here so you can see the bulb in action for yourself.I'll now go ahead and turn off the lights in the studio, give you a better idea here, just how bright they are. That nice, cool white light. So they're going to do a good job for you there.Turn the lights back on. These do have the light emitting diodes, and if you're not familiar with LEDs, they are going to be a great replacement for your incandescent bulbs because they have these diodes, they're much more durable than your incandescent bulbs, they don't have the brittle filament like incandescent bulbs do so you're not going to need to replace them nearly as often.
They are rated for up to 50,000 hours. Not only are they more durable, they're also going to be more efficient. So they're going to provide a brighter light with less power output. So they are only going to draw about 0.11 amps on your 12 volt system. They are compatible with dimming features, so if you want to adjust the light level, they will work for that as well.We also have built-in surge protections to safeguard all of the internal electronics.
They are also non-polarized, so it's going to be very easy to get them installed, not going to have to worry about redoing your wiring or anything like that. They will fit in with that 45 millimeter festoon base in all of those compatible fixtures. This is going to come with two bolts as you see here, each bulb is going to come with a five year limited warranty. So if you we're to have any problems within those first five years, you can give us a call, we'd help you out with that. But overall, I think these are going to be great replacements for you, give you that nice, bright, light, less energy consumption.
