Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Maxtrax, 24 millimeter wide by three meter long Kinetic Recovery Rope. Has an 8,818 pound vehicle recovery capacity. Now this is a high-strength HMPE rope, which stands for High Modulus Polyethylene. This'll use kinetic energy buildup to recover a stuck vehicle, so it is perfect for use with cars, trucks, jeeps, and buggies, weighing up to 8,818 pound gross vehicle weight. Basically, this kinetic recovery rope will utilize kinetic energy that accumulates in the rope as it stretches to increase the pulling force, and reduce the sudden impact generated by conventional tow straps or chains.
The stretch rate on this rope is 30%. Basically every inch the rope stretches, results in kinetic energy, which will transfer into force directed towards the stuck vehicle, or the object that you're pulling out. So it allows for a nice, smooth, unjarring extraction. And the rope is very quick and easy to set up for recovery. If you notice on each end, they include these built-in loops.
This will let you attach to the anchor points on your vehicle using either bow shackles or soft shackles. And you can use multiple ropes strung together with soft shackles to create the length that you need. Does use a polyethylene and polyester coating to protect the attachment points from scratches. And if you notice, on each bottom of the loop here has a nice bright orange color, which is for high visibility. Does include this nice hook and loop strap, that when you're not using this, you can just wrap this around, bundle it all together, hook and loop it, and it'll keep it all in one place, easy to store.
Dimensions on this, we mentioned the diameter on this rope is 24 millimeters, which translates to 15/16 of an inch. The length we mentioned is three meters, which translates to 9' 10" long. This does have a maximum load, or brake strength of 26,455 pounds. But the vehicle recovery capacity on this is a third of that, which is 8,818 pounds.
