Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Maxxtracks 18 millimeter wide by three meters long Static Recovery Rope. Has a 21,237 pound vehicle recovery capacity. Now, this is a high strength HMPE rope. Stands for "High Modulus Polyethylene." This acts as a static element during vehicle recovery, so it is perfect for use with cars, trucks, jeeps, and buggies.

The HMPE rope has an extremely low density, and a strength to weight ratio that is eight times higher than high strength steel. And a nice added feature as the HMPE rope floats, whereas steel wire would sink. Now, this can be used as a tree trunk protector load sharing bridle, or as an extension to your winch cable. If you notice on each end, it has these built-in loops of the rope. This will let you attach to shackles or D-rings on the vehicles.

They have a polyethylene and polyester coating to protect the attachment points from scratches. And if you notice, the rope has a nice covering. It's a bright orange color for high visibility. Now, we mentioned the dimensions on this. The diameter, they say, is 18 millimeters, which is three quarters of an inch.

And what that measurement is, is the diameter of the loop here. So this diameter is three quarters of an inch. The reason we mention that is because the rope itself is about one and a half inches diameter. So when they mention it's an 18 millimeter or three quarter inch, they're talking about the diameter here. That's the thickness of the loop, so when you go to attach it to your hook or attachment point, gives you an idea of how thick that is.

Now, the maximum loader brake strength on this rope is 63,713 pounds. But when you go by the weight you use this with is a third of that, and they call that the vehicle recovery capacity. So a third of that amount would make this 21,237 pounds. And then what's also nice, if you notice, it has this hook and loops strap that's attached to it. So when you put this all together, you can just completely wrap it around there, keep it all together, wrap it in place, and now you're all ready to go.
