Hello everybody, this is jeff@etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Maxtrax 24mm wide by two meter long kinetic recovery rope. Has an 8,818 pound vehicle recovery capacity. Now this is a high strength HMPE rope. Stands for high-modulus polyethylene. It employs kinetic energy buildup in it to recover a stuck vehicle.
So this is perfect for use with cars, trucks, jeeps, and buggies that weigh up to 8,818 pound gross vehicle weight rating. Basically, this kinetic recovery rope utilizes kinetic energy accumulated in each rope as it stretches to increase the pulling force and reduce the sudden impact generated by conventional tow straps or chains. This rate, rope will have a stretch rate of 30%. Basically every inch the rope stretches results in kinetic energy, which transfers into the force directed towards the stuck vehicle or the object that you're pulling out. So it allows for a nice, smooth, unjarring extraction.
The rope is quick and easy to set up for recovery. You can see each end. They have these built-in loops on the ends of the rope to let you attach to anchor points on the vehicles, using either bow shackles or soft shackles. And you can use multiple ropes together with soft shackles to create nice length you need. Does have a polyethylene and polyester coating, protects the attachment points from any scratches.
And if you notice, on each loop end, has a bright orange color for a high visibility. Now they do offer this hook and loop strap, which is nice 'cause you can put your rope all together, just like that. Run the hook and loop strap all the way around it, hook it, and it'll hold it all together so you keep it all in one place. Few dimensions on this strap. The diameter of the rope itself is 24mm, which relate, exchanges into 15 sixteenths of an inch.
The length of it is two meters, which will mean six foot six inches. Does have a maximum load or break strength of 26,455 pounds. And a third of that is the vehicle recovery capacity, which we mentioned earlier is 8,818 pounds.
