The Limited Edition tonneau has all the features of the original Access cover, plus a half-dozen extras. This truck bed cover rolls up so that you can haul bulky items and rolls down to shield and secure your vehicle's bed and cargo. The custom-fit tonneau sits 1-1/2" above your truck bed and keeps air from getting caught by the tailgate, thus reducing drag. That can improve your gas mileage by up to 10 percent. And the exclusive Access Slantback fit angles toward your tailgate to give your truck a stylish, streamlined look.
Velcro closures on the sides help seal the cover to your truck box and allow you to peel it back quickly for easy access. The tonneau stores neatly behind your cab, secured by premium storage straps that are designed to keep the cover from rubbing against the cab.
Customize the cover tension by turning the XT-Dial easy-grip tension adjuster at the front of the cover, near your cab. The cover is constructed of double coated, reinforced UV-blocking vinyl, so it won't fade in the hot sun. The material stays flexible down to -40 F and won't shrink, regardless of the temperature. Black powder coated aluminum bows line the underside of the tonneau and act as ribbing that supports the cover and makes it easy to roll up.
The Element weather seal at the cab end and a reinforced vinyl flap at the tailgate help to keep out dirt, rain, snow, and ice. The premium TrailSeal tailgate gasket runs along the sides and bottom of your tailgate opening to help eliminate gaps and block out the elements.
The contoured, black powder coated aluminum tonneau rails resist rust. They sit inside your truck bed side rails so that you can still use stake-pocket-mounted accessories, such as a ladder rack or tie-down anchors. Easily install the rails on a truck with an under-the-rail, drop-in bed liner. Over-the-rail liners can be cut to allow room for the installation clamps.
The tonneau's rails attach easily to your truck bed side rails using Tight Bite clamps. The specially designed teeth on these clamps seize the integrated ridges in the rails, ensuring a firm grip. And the clamps are fitted with tie-down rings that help you secure your cargo.
Once the tonneau cover is unrolled and in place, the AutoLatch II dual locking system automatically engages 2 locks - 1 on each side - to hold the tonneau closed. To unlatch the cover, simply pull the cord for easy, one-hand operation. And locking the cover won't interfere with your tailgate - open and close it as usual or add a tailgate lock (sold separately) to get secure storage for your cargo. Along with the AutoLatch II, tie-down rings, and TrailSeal gasket, the Access Limited tonneau also includes 3 other handy extras. The battery-operated LED light illuminates your truck bed, saving you from fumbling around in the dark. Hi there, truck owners. Today we're going to be taking a look at Access's line of their Limited Edition soft roll-up tonneau covers. They're custom designed to fit your truck, so you want to use our fit guide to ensure you get the appropriate one for yours. They're available in either short or long bed models for the various trucks that are out there. The Limited Edition soft tonneau cover has all the same features as Access's regular soft roll-up tonneau cover, with an abundance of new features.Just like the standard, our tonneau cover is going to be a soft vinyl, that's going to be taught and extend all the way the line of our truck. You can see how it gives us a nice smooth line from the front all the way to the back.
And it has a slant back design that has a gentle slope here to the rear, giving it a more streamlined look. That's also slightly more aerodynamic and will help make water shed towards this direction and off the back. So it's going to give you all the same benefits of a standard tonneau cover, keeping all of your gear out of sight.And what they say is out of sight, out of mind. Because if somebody doesn't know you have anything in here, they have no reason to look in the back of your truck anyway. It also keeps all of your gear in the back dry, because it extends over the lip of your side rails, your tailgate here at the back, as well as the bulkhead at the front.
The hook and loop fasteners on the side, ensure that it stays nice and taut, and the water's going to shed down off the side and not inside of your truck bed.Now one of the things I like about this tonneau cover is that when it's rolled up, we have true full bed access. Some of your other covers out there that are hardcovers, they do fold up to the front to give you full bed access. But when they are folded up, the panels for those hardcovers will obstruct your view here at the back. So you can't see out the back. And now with the tonneau cover open we can see some of the Limited Edition features that you'll receive.
Here, you can see the easy retriever pole with hook that comes exclusive with your Limited Edition kit.And this is nice for retrieving items that are all the way up against your bulkhead, because typically when your tonneau covers closed, you open the lift gate, I wouldn't be able to get that toolbox there all the way at the back unless I had completely rolled my tunnel cover back and walked over there to grab it. Well now I can just open up the tailgate, grab my pole, bring it to me and then I'm all set. And you can see here our pole can reach all the way back to our bulkhead. So there should be no items that we can't bring closer to us.On both sides, we have the standard access clamps that hold the side rails of our tonneau cover on. But with our Limited Edition we'll also receive rings that act as tie-down locations throughout our truck bed.
So this way we have more options to keep our cargo secure in our truck bed. Depending on the length of your truck bed, you'll receive either six or eight rings and clamps. An extra layer of protection you're going to get with the Limited Edition cover is additional seals that go all the way around your tailgate. We've got them that run down the side here, so when we our tailgate it seals up against it. We also have it that runs across the bottom here.With this and in the bulkhead seal is at the front, along with the hook and loop fasteners down the side, we've completely sealed off our truck bed, so we don't have to worry about any moisture entering in there. And we all know how frustrating it is at night when you open up your truck bed just to grab something real quick, but you can't see anything. You've got a light on your garage and you still can't see because your title covers closed. Well rather than roll back your tunnel cover, or run and find a flashlight, Access has provided an LED strips that measures 18 inches long that you can install inside the truck bed to illuminate back here so we can easily see what we need to.The light has an automatic shutoff feature, so if you accidentally forget that you turned the light on, you can walk away, and in three to five minutes it'll shut off. There's a setting switch on the inside to change it from three, five, or to disable the auto shutoff. The light operates off of three AA batteries. These do not come included, and you need a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the cover to install the batteries. And here's a look at the light with our tonneau cover closed.And with it rolled up again, you can get a good look at the release mechanism. On the inside you have a cord that runs all the way across, so you can grab this from really anywhere along the back here. And when you pull it, it pulls both of the latches on each side so we can easily just flip it up. Here you can see our latches, and them moving as I pull and release the cord. As we roll our cover back, you'll also notice all the black powder coated aluminum that are tonneau cover's constructed up. We have the bulkhead at the back here. We also have our bows that run across.And being aluminum is going to reduce the weight so we're not adding too much when we put our cover on. We have these bows every so many inches to provide support across our tonneau cover so that way we don't get any sagging. And if we do need to set something on a temporarily when we're loading up the back, we do have some support there so our gear won't just fall through our cover. With it fully rolled up, you'll see the bustles that are located on the inside. When you're not using the buckles, you can just keep them looped and this is a great place to store some things. Or you can use them to keep your cover strapped in the open position.Because you want to do this if you are and even that full truck bed access and you have gear back here, we don't want our cover unrolling when we're going down the road. And you'll also notice that when I strap it in this position, we have still all this window that we can see out of. And when we close our tailgate you'll see here that our seal gets crushed all the way around. If you're comparing this tonneau cover to other tonneau covers out there, such as hard tonneau covers like the BAKFlip MX, they're both going to offer you that level of security, keeping your gear out of sight, and out of mind.But with the soft tonneau cover, it could easily be cut into and broken into fairly quickly. With the hard tonneau cover they are going to have to work at it a lot harder. But if your tailgate locks at the back, you do have all of your items nice and secure. Additionally, how high your tonneau cover sits off of your truck bed rails, could be a big impact on which one is the best fit for you are. Our soft tonneau cover here sits about an inch and a half off of our bed rails. And if we look back at that BAKFlip MX, that one only sits about a half inch. So if you want a more low profile look, the BAKFlip may be a better option.That being said, the Access here is a much more economical tonneau cover that has a slew of features that the BAKFlip doesn't. And also due to the way our rails install, and clamp to the inside of our bed rails, we have full access to the top of our bed rails here so we can access our stake pockets with no interruptions. The soft top's constructed of a UV resistant vinyl, this is going to keep it protected against the sun's rays shining down on it, so it won't deteriorate and also keep it from fading. You'll also see here that it comes with a small repair strip. So in case you do have an accident, where you maybe have put something in the back that you shoved through, then you can patch that hole right up.We can also keep its nice luster with the included cover care that comes with it. So you can spray it on and this will help clean it off as well as put a protective film on it that will help protect it from the elements as well. Now over time the fabric may stretch out. You saw when we had it closed, how nice and tight and taught it was. That could eventually over time start to sag down between the beams and we don't want that because that can cause standing water. Well, we have adjusters on each side that will allow us to take that play that may occur out, so we can keep our cover staying nice and taut.There's no tools required. You simply turn the knob here to adjust it tighter. We'll go this direction. And to adjust it looser, we'll go clockwise. It's an easy no drill installation. The tonneau cover's rails simply clamp right to your treks bed rails. The various clamps that we have running down here simply tighten down using just a set of wrenches. The only other tools you're going to need is a Phillips screwdriver to get the clamps tightened down for your easy bar, as well as a pair of scissors so you can cut your seals.And I also wanted to point out that our truck here that we've installed it on has a spray in bed liner, and that's no big deal. We can still get our tonneau cover installed regardless if we've got a spray-in liner, a drop-in liner, or no liner at all. And that completes our look at Access's line of their Limited Edition soft roll-up tonneau covers.

Thoroughly impressed with this cover after 1 year. Keeps bed dry, performs great going down the road too. The light and grab bar are a great bonus. Looks great still, no fading. Get compliments on it all the time since you don’t ever see them on OBS step-side trucks. Highly recommend etrailer for this product.
Am very happy with this year old tonneau cover from etrailer.it is so versatile and with gas prices as they are will get better mpg closing tha bed off,by 3-4 mpg I've done the math,before and after.was getting 17mpg now 20mpg.but love it,I maintained it once a month.also was looking everywhere for a tonneau cover for a stepside,and etrailer hooked me up,and etrailer will hook you up to peole.
This cover is everything I expected and then some. It was easy to install and adjust. It's a solid cover with built in support bars that keeps the cover tight. it keeps my contents dry yet rolls up when I need the entire bed and the best part is I can still see out the back window (unlike some of the tri-folds). Highly recommended.
Packaged for shipment with attention to details like making sure the cover was wraped well fro transit. Fit the truck like a glove, Looks great on the truck. Instructions were clear and easy to understand.
It was relatively easy to install. Quality looks good!
The tonneau by Access is great as usual with good fit and quality. The tonneau is capable of handling high tension which helps prevent pooling. There is barely any rain water standing. The effect is almost like a solid surface. Caution on the ladder racks you pair them with though as the rack may prevent the tonneau from gaining maximum tension wich will cause more pooling than desired. I paired the with the recommended TracRac for the sliding adjustable rails. They do fit however the bulky base rail of the TracRac is too close to the sides of the tonneau and prevents my fingers from getting in there to pull the tonneau tight on the velcro sides. It's doable but very time consuming and not ideal if you open and close the tonneau frequently. I would propose that Access make some design tweaks to resolve this and better complement the TracRac base rails since it is one of the few racks that have a high load capacity. Other than that the tonneau cover is the best quality I have used for a roll up. Still have the same one on my 03 Dakota since 2008.
This is my second Access cover and love them. After 6 years the first one needed new velcro and got excellent customer service. This cover came with a very sturdy hook to retrieve stuff that slides forward in the truck bed. I have found this is handy for all kinds of things. Wouldn't wan't to be without it.
These tops roll up very easy when needed and keep everything clean and dry when rolled out. Most versatile top for me.
This product had to be direct shipped from the manufacturer. I was worried it wouldn't arrive on time prior to my trip. No worries needed. Came in well before I expected it. This cover fits better than other covers I had on past trucks. Etrailer comes through again. I have never had an issue with any of my orders from Etrailer for the last 15 years.
Unfortunately I a unable to give an accurate review of the cover due to a vehicle fire shortly after installation. The time I had the cover it worked well except the side clamps would loosen.
The cover was easy to install. One of the clamps was slightly bent from shipping or mfr damage, but still managed to clamp effectively. Overall, great look and easy install.
I've had this tonneau cover for over a year now and it looks and functions like new. Highly recommend this tonneau.
Still works and looks great after one year! Very pleased with our tonneau as it has met all of our expectations during our full time RV travels.
